The current versions are - which is why India is buying them and South Korea is licensing the design. These are countries that could have bought Western AA systems and found the Russian ones better in testing. In the case of South Korea, they’re actually *dumbing it down* for their license built variant - they wanted a cheaper system and didn’t need the full capability of the all up S-400 but didn’t think the S-300 was good enough.
Unlike what happened in the recent Israeli strike that embarrassed the S-400’s maker, the ones the Russians brought to Syria aren’t the crippled export versions, they’re not being manned by Syrian trainees and they’re not being aired by Syrian idiots. Ivan is all done letting the Syrian government tell him where he can put his triple A.
