Glad i dont use them. Not glad wife does.
Are the Verizon execs jumping from the 45th floor yet?
Why would you give all that info to Yahoo or Google? Or Apple?
That’s why I don’t use these “e-wallet” programs and apps.
So, I want to know how many subscribers they have. Maybe...500 million?
The Guardian is reporting this was a “state sponsored” hack. Translation either Russia or China.
Not Mine.
Must be for the global registration drive.
Users will flee Yahoo! like a ............
I suggest a class action predicated on negligence. ( or did the republicrats pass a law against paying our damages?)
Maybe the hackers could tell me what my password is. I forgot it ages afo
I’m sure things will get much better when Obama gives up control of the internet. /s
These security breaches are getting outrageous.
Only two pieces of personal nformation are needed to steal your identity: Your birthdate and your SSN. This is why you should never give any website your real birthdate.
About time Yahoo admits to be hacked. Seems like every month or so we start getting lots of hacked email from our Yahoo email using customers. This admitted breach, 500+ million, is pretty big. Why don’t they just say everyone got hacked, that they gave everything out. I suspect by the time the dust settles that will be the case anyway.
Sorry to see this, as a yahoo mail user for more than 10 years. But, my date of birth is fake, and answers to any security question on any site are random fake answers, I only use unique passwords, ie each site has different password - no duplicates, no telephone numbers - so I have done what I can to protect myself, I hope.
AT & T UVerse uses Yahoo as a mail server, so I might have been hacked. Good, maybe now they can clean out my SPAM. That’s about all I ever get on that email account.
My wife had a Yahoo Email account for over 10 years. About a week ago she started getting a boat load of emails from “empowr.com.” We both have no idea who the hell they are.I put them on the blocked list, reported as Spam and the emails just kept coming. About 3 days ago we closed out the account. We needs all the crap.
The Russians did it.
Using Yahoo for your email is asking to be hacked. Has happened many times before.
At least once a week I get a spam email from friends that use Yahoo. It’s obvious their account has been hacked.
Who uses their real info when setting up these accounts?
