(WWJ) James Olson, a Sports Illustrated subscriber since fourth grade, watches action-packed NFL games on TV to escape from the endless round of political bickering playing out on other channels.
But with more national anthem protests cropping up, he feels like politics has taken over his favorite sport, too. So hes tuning out.
I want to say to these guys If you werent playing in the NFL, you would be working at McDonalds. I think people have had it, said, Olson, a Birmingham, Mich., resident.

Shareholders Vs. Political Favors
The two are diametrically opposed.
Eventually the shareholders squeal loud enough and the CEO must reject political pressure.
We shall see...
“Its time to boycott sponsors, starting with Disney. Is there anyone doing this. We could start something here”
I’ve written to Papa Johns and Gatorade. I also wrote to the NFL telling them I won’t support them or their sponsors until they start penalizing the protesters for unsportsmanlike conduct.
I switch over to college ball - probs won’t be back.
Well I’m sure my wife & I are not the only exceptions, just that we fall into the exception crowd. I’ll bet we, meaning those of us that fall into the exception category, are the exception even among the FR community.
Boycott.
There you go FNC’s night time shows- Juan- Geraldo-Colmes. Yeah that’s the ticket. /s
I forgot whoraldo! Thanks!
The difference is Mennonites do this out of their undertanding of Scripture going back to their founding in Germany(1500 something)...not some sort of perceived injustice at the hands of slave traders yada yada...and there are so few Mennonites that it really won’t make much difference...but these yahoos like the guy said would not be making 119 million like Kapernic are spoiled rich kids...You hear some of these guys interviewed I doubt they have comprehension above the fifth grad....some of them would be lucky to GET a job at McDonalds...imho

Not a minute of viewership from my house this season.
Used to be an NFL Sunday Ticket subscriber for about a decade at one point, too.
Don’t need to spend my time or money to be insulted.
“Are National Anthem Protests Costing NFL Viewership?”
Without a question of a doubt.
And they’re costing sponsors money, too.
No watching at our house.
[Ive also turned off FNC except for Judge Pirno]
It’s nice and quiet at my house. NFC used to be on 24/7. I wonder how much I am saving in electricity?
I have not watched a game this season and will not until the NFL stops allowing these folks to disrespect our country while playing in Bonded stadiums.
No money for anything NFL in my house. In fact, there was an NFL promotion at McDonalds and I wont support them either.
Enjoy the freedom of speech. I have freedom of voluntary exchange.
The Papa John's in our town has a "no guns" sign posted discretely in the lower right corner of a window, well away from the door. NFL sponsorship is another good reason not to patronize them.
“My wife turned on Sunday Night football to see the pregame.
As soon as the black power BS happened, she threw the remote over to me and said, watch what you want.
What kind of man turns the remote over to his wife ?? You’re setting a bad example for the rest of us men :-)
Just kidding, I have tuned out the NFL also. Until they get back to playing football and staying out of politics I will not be tuning in ..
yep, we have turned off NFL, ACC, AND NCAA Altogether in this household.....Hey,....Bud....watch me turn you off..dont have to buy your beer.....Hey Toyota, Chev, Dodge, or any other auto manufacturer......wont buy any new car anyti
me soon.
“These Protests (look at me, look at me) are so useless. Nothing will change.”
Au Contrare! They are “effective” in that they are abetting the process of tanking the NFL. It’s fun to watch what’s going to happen when these a$$hole NFL team owners see their incomes evaporating.
This biggie would be a great one to boycott! No one has to have Bud, especially since they are now foreigners.
Their reckless, anti-American BS has caused me to move on. Piss on the NFL.
LOL
She’s one of those cute skinny long haired jersey wearin’ NFL fans.
Ever since the expansion teams and how things are so much different than in the 70’s, I just like baseball and unpolluted college football.
I’m in Michigan so college ball is pretty damn good here.
Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Ohio State...
