The Dallas Morning News has experienced a noticeable decline in subscriptions following its endorsement of Hillary Clinton.
"[S]ome people have cancelled their subscriptions, so we lost some customers at a time when it's tough to lose customers," editor Mike Wilson told the Washington Examiner Tuesday evening.

In Clinton's eight years in the U.S. Senate, she displayed reach and influence in foreign affairs
Those are real shortcomings. But they pale in comparison to the litany of evils some opponents accuse her of. Treason? Murder? Her being cleared of crimes by investigation after investigation has no effect on these political hyenas; they refuse to see anything but conspiracies and cover-ups.
We reject the politics of personal destruction. Clinton has made mistakes and displayed bad judgment, but her errors are plainly in a different universe than her opponent's.
Trump's values are hostile to conservatism. He plays on fear exploiting base instincts of xenophobia, racism and misogyny to bring out the worst in all of us, rather than the best. His serial shifts on fundamental issues reveal an astounding absence of preparedness. And his improvisational insults and midnight tweets exhibit a dangerous lack of judgment and impulse control.
Embrace the suck!
That’s a shame.
Embrace the suck, DMN.
You’ve earned it!
If the editors are shocked when they lose customers before the election, just imagine how they’ll feel if Hillary wins and nobody will ever be able trust whatever they think about printing. All news will become a thing of the past.
They have “No regrets”. Need to hit them harder now.
We need to cut the DMN some slack. They didn’t really have a choice when the Bush family called, or more likely called the publisher over to their table at the Brook Hollow Country Club to issue instructions.
The car dealers need to pull their ads.
Years ago the San. Antonio papers pissed off Ernesto Ancira (major car dealer) and he pulled his ads and never went back. He’s since gone 100% TV ads and has never looked back.
Who the hell shops for cars in the newspapers anyway. A clever car dealer could make some really funny car ads for TV using a Hillary impersonator.
GOOD! That’s what you get.......hope you close down!!!!
Good
It's one thing to endorse Hillary Clinton if you are the New York Times or Washington Post and can count on a loyal following of NYC and Beltway leftists, but this is a disastrous move to make when most of the Clinton supporters in your coverage area can't even read.
DMN has been swinging Left for decades, ever since they bought out the competing paper. The paper has dwindles in size, dwindled from a major regionalper to a city rag, even endorsing liberal leftists for local office. Just the latest in the swing. I cancelled my subscription over a decade ago.
They were paid to do it, and they paid a price for it.
Lost of ad revenue and subscribers.
There is speculation they are “for sale”. It is clear the coverage can be purchased.
not high enough a price. you ought to be fired. and I hope the paper is so devalued that someone else can buy it and build it into a place where honest journalism is done.
May God richly bless us and allow us to watch you go completely out of business.
They’ve been struggling since they got caught fudging their circulation numbers and defrauding their advertisers. From their bylines these days, it looks like they’ve outsourced their local reporting to India and other third world countries.
One would be better off asking the Citizens Council to just email press releases and talking points directly to the consumer instead of running them through the DMN.
I spoke the truth in the public schools and paid the price. I was told to keep my principles to myself and then was fired. So, hopefully the paper will also pay the ultimate price and be fired by the readership...or, at least enough of them to force the paper into bankruptcy.
What that;
“Submit,for He is Merciful “
