The Clinton campaign is postponing a fundraiser in North Carolina for unexplained reasons, while Hillary Clinton remains absent from the campaign trail.
Hillary Clinton postponed a lunch fundraiser in Chapel Hill with some of the state’s wealthiest and most prominent Democrats.
No reason was given for postponement of the Clinton event, according to CBS North Carolina. It was expected to take place at the home of Betty Craven and Michael Warner.
The event was billed as “lunch with Hillary Rodham Clinton” and costs ranged from $2,700 to $100,000.

Even appearing befuddled and listless in the first debate 4 years ago, didn’t hurt Obama’s re-election campaign.
His debate #1 performance was so bad, it prompted Chris Matthews (he of the shivery leg); to exclaim: “What the Hell was he *doing* up there!?!?!”
There’s really no time left for a replacement to launch an effective campaign.
They would have to go with an established candidate such as Biden to even have a shot at not *losing* seats in the House and Senate. And they would have to beg Biden to run; I’m not sure he’d take it.
If they don’t choose Bernie (and they won’t; he resigned his membership in the Democrat party about a month ago to revert to Independent) the Bernie voters will be enraged times two as he gets passed over a second time.
They *have* to drag her across the finish line at this point.
They really have no choice.
