Wait until November, ComDems will see what the reaction to gun grab talk is. Even Dems Hunt. Some of them actully own a lot of guns.

This issue is off the table for discussion.

For all practical purposes, I’m a nobody, of no particular importance or popularity.

But this article is making me feel good, as I’m apparently in the top 3% of something.

Seriously, this article is just total BS.

...there are more privately held guns in this country than cars...

Exactly. More firearms than cars. Yet annual deaths by firearms (excluding suicides*) is around 13,000 per year in the US. Annual deaths by vehicle accident run over 33,000 per year.

So looking at the situation in completely practical, unemotional terms - fewer cars (than firearms) are causing more deaths (nearly 3x) per year. If this author's concern really is public safety, they ought to be applying their energies to where they can do the most good. Of course, if your objective isn't really public safety then the author might want to use emotion and manipulation to further his/her real agenda...

(*) I typically discount suicides by firearms because those people want to die. The "success rate" for suicide by firearm is very high - it is not an option someone just looking to make a statement, or crying out for help, etc. chooses. Those people want to die and they will find a way, with or without firearms.

I wonder what percentage of hack “journalists” get the majority of publication space as opposed to the rest of the population.

If our representatives should not listen to the claimed 3% who are gun owners, why should they listen to the 2 or 3% of the population who are homosexuals? Sodomy kills far more people than guns owned by non criminals.

The poll is obviously flawed, but that doesn’t stop Cuntzman from getting in a dither, and fantasizing about getting the cops to take away our guns.

New political study shows that 3% of American adults are liberals — and hold us all hostage

America is being held hostage by a tiny minority of absolute lunatics for whom the liberal agenda is their credo in life.

That’s the main finding of the first comprehensive study of liberal-leftism in two decades.

Among the many findings — that they actually believe that liberalism does good in society, that Americans benefit from an all-encompassing totalitarian surveillance government, and that there are more racially oppressed minorities in the country than the majority — is a bit of news so shocking, it should embolden our spineless lawmakers in Washington:

Roughly half of all leftism is espoused by just 3% of American adults mostly in academia and the media.

Call them “liberal idiots” or, as I prefer, “hateful stupid whack jobs” — but whatever you call them, they have a disproportionate influence over social policy in this country.

So if liberals represent a smaller portion of our population — and nearly half of all liberals dead-heads — isn’t it time for our politicians to realize that they don’t have to listen to them anymore?

I’ll wager a study would show that people who die from falling off ladders were more than three times as likely to have had a ladder in their home, too.

OMG. The average IQ of proggies must be the same as for muzzie refugees - mid 60’s.

And he calls us gun owners "scaredy cats".

The hypocrisy of the left never ceases to amaze me.

I read the report elsewhere last night and found the stats interesting. I suspect the overall count of guns is very low, which skews the numbers. Everyone, or more likely, every family, I know that has guns have half-a-dozen plus each. We typically do not talk about it and I doubt many would speak to a surveyor.

In details, the study is very suspect--organization bias, compensated data, method gathered, poor coverage, etc.

Still, the numbers show more guns, especially by women, less crime. Surveyor bias rejects that obvious conclusion, even while pointing it out.

Good for conversation but flawed.
