A Nassau County judge has fined Fox News host Bill O'Reilly's ex-wife [Maureen McPhilmy] $310,000 for violating the terms of a custody agreement regarding the former couple's two children....
The couple has a daughter identified in court papers as M and a son identified as S, who are 17 and 13 years old, respectively.
According to court papers, M was scheduled to be transitioned to her father's home on Oct. 11, 2015, for his parenting week, under the terms of the couple's custody agreement but McPhilmy notified him that she would not transition the couple's daughter.
O'Reilly moved for a finding of civil contempt, arguing that nothing in the law permits a child of M's age to determine parental access, that McPhilmy impeded O'Reilly from having access to his daughter and that she should be assessed a daily fine of $2,500 for each day of noncompliance since Oct. 11, 2015.
Based on the evidence in the case, [the judge] said, it seems that McPhilmy determined early on that she "was the parent more deserving of the children's loyalty," that she never had a "sincere intention" to follow the couple's original 2010 custody agreement and that her actions since the agreement became effectiveincluding a motion to modify the agreement just one month after the couple's divorce was final"telegraphed her intent to dismantle it."

Funny I don’t see him as a dad.
She’s a very stupid woman.
Good for the Judge.
Good for you, Bill!
The poor kids in the middle of this mess.
.
It is very unfortunate that such family disputes have to play out in public.
1-0 for the Loofah.
Jokes on Billy. He’ll be paying the fine with alimony payments anyway.
$310.000 for a week? What a pinhead.
The oldest trick in the book.
Some moms trash the dad unmercifully in their absence. They tell the kids he doesn’t want to see them. Then she prompts them and helps them make plans for periods when they are supposed to be with him. Kids buy into it and the dad comes off looking like a bad guy.
In these situations enforcing your rights makes you look like the bad guy too. What dad is going to win a custody battle when the kid has been promised Disneyland with their friends or a visit your dad, which do you want to do?
I’ve seen this play out. It’s not a pretty picture. The kids ultimately lose. The dad loses, and the moms knowing what they did lose too.
Lock HER UP!!
It was calculated as back fines like a library book, it sounds like.
Is she filthy rich, is this walking-around money?
The judge seemed to think she had been violating the settlement agreement for a lot longer than a week.
O’Reilly made his case, and the judge seemed to agree.
The reporting here may be the problem. They didn’t explain very well why the judge awarded just a judgement.
There must have been cause, but we’re limited to only hearing about a one week problem.
There had to be more if the judge awarded this much.
I couldn’t imagine being married to Bill O’Reilly. Must have been daily torture.
My mother did that to my siblings. I was the only one to not buy into her evilness. To this day my siblings hate my father but my dad still loves them unconditionally. I have no part of them nor of my mother. My father is my rock and my best friend.
Always wise to force your child to see you when they don’t want to and take mom to court to be fined. Builds trust and great relationships
Yeah but any woman who’d marry him would have to know that the spin stops with him. LOL
Neither does his daughter
It was months. $2,500 a day. I am sure he pays millions in Child support and alimony.
Regardless of how one feels about Mr. O’Reilly, he is a man who deserves to be an equal parent in his children’s lives.
