The former State Department IT specialist who set up Hillary Clintons private server ignored a subpoena to appear Tuesday before a House committee hearing, while other tech experts who helped maintain the system asserted their Fifth Amendment right not to testify frustrating Republican lawmakers trying to dig deeper into the former secretary of states email setup.
House oversight committee Chairman Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, said hell now consider a full range of options to address IT aide Bryan Paglianos failure to attend.
He should be here.
It is not optional, Chaffetz said. His attendance is required here.

Clever of the FBI to give him immunity and then not charge anyone with crimes.

I once (inadvertently) ignored a summons because I had weeds around my pool (long story). Result, I spent the night in the lockup.

So how is it that a subpoena is strictly a request for voluntary appearance when issued to liberals liberals? Are we that far gone to real definitional Tyranny?

Contempt of Congress.
Not that I don’t, but that’s a different thing.

Come on, Speaker Ryan. Grow a spine and do something. Are we going to be a nation of laws or not?

He just might get a rather terse letter suitable for framing if he’s not careful.

He should be here.
It is not optional, Chaffetz said. His attendance is required here. Maybe Chaffetz will write a strongly worded letter. These ass hats will ignore the whole thing, until someone puts handcuffs on them. Until then, nothing will happen. Are we living in a banana republic yet?

Clever of the FBI to give him immunity and then not charge anyone with crimes. I don't see how that can hold any water with congress.

He was likely notified via his lawyers (paid by Clinton) that the DOJ will not take action if he ignores it.
And, it's not like Congress has an enforcement brigade of their own.

Congress as a coequal branch of government has the authority to have him arrested and jailed for failing to appear. They can hold him as long as Congress is in session. Will they? NO! Should they? Not this close to the election.
