There was one in Ga several years ago. Local Sheriff wanted it stopped in HIS county (it was on the interstate about to cross county lines). Sheriff (not a deputy) pulls along side the truck and unloads OO buckshot at the truck.
The truckjacker was un hurt, but fhe Sheriff hit a State Patrol Officer with the shotgun blasts, said officer was on the other side of the truck in his cruiser, all the while everyone doing 70+ mph on the highway.
