Most days I’m not sure which category I’m in.
I don’t listen to Rush-—or any talk radio but the one time I heard Rush he spent about 10 minutes on cigars.

It seems like their primary accomplishment has been to harness conservative discontent and direct it in a completely pointless and utterly ineffective direction.
And they tried to do that exact same thing this time, and it did not work.
I can still recall listening to at least a few Limbaugh broadcast earlier this year in which he sort of whispered Ted Cruuuuuuuuuuuz into the microphone as he commented on primary goings on. Oh yes, Trump this and Trump, but all the while just out of sight Ted Cruuuuuuuuuuz, Ted Cruuuuuuuuuz... and no one listened, no one bought it, no one fell for it.
And now Rush kind of seems like a listless wanderer with nowhere to go.

Of course, it was ~45 years ago, when 5¢ cigars were really $.05, and smelled like it too, particularly when Shep rode up in an elevator with a guy smoking one that day.

I’m the same age as Rush so he played no role in my political education. Years of reading National Review and similar magazines back when they were worth reading provided that. I imagine that those who came along after 1988 see Rush as much more important than I do- for me he’s the cotton candy version of political commentary.
I think he’s a consummate radio professional, probably the best in the business, but as source of valuable information... not so much. But I do listen regularly.

That’s what our late, great Freeper pal Kenny Bunk used to say. He was pals with G Gordon Liddy and I think had some experience in radio himself (maybe golux will fill us in) but Kenny repeatedly said that our Conservative Media Entertainers were mostly putting us to sleep and keeping us from doing anything useful.

Not a surprise to those of us who fought for border enforcement since Prop 187, although Rush is a very unlikely target since he was almost always AWOL from the immigration wars.
Linda Chavez was and is an amnesty pimp for her fellow latinos and if she wants to remind us of that by attacking Rush, well welcome to the party, Rush. Now do something with it for a change.

Well, that’s why it’s so bizarre. And she accused him of forcing his listeners to call Congress and jam the lines. I think Rush was kind of hurt by these lies. He thought she was a friend. But in Washington, there are no friends. Even Buddy the dog found that out.

I’m all for Trump winning since he’s the nominee and we have to defeat the Communists and Leftists who control most of the country now.
But I’m troubled because it seems that FR is now dominated by Trumpsters and anyone who isn’t a true believer is attacked as the enemy including Rush who put conservative media on the map.
We’re eating our own and I hate to see the greatest voice and most decent radio personality the conservative movement has ever had being denigrated here.
I understand disagreements folks might have with him, but now he’s being outright attacked as an enemy.
Fight the real enemy.
Well if Rush thought that Linda Chavez was his friend then he’s to blame.
He should have had a clue as to what she’s about by paying attention to the people she has been trashing for the last decade.
