Angry Secret Service Denies It "Broke Protocol" With Sloppy Handling Of Hillary's Rushed Exit

In all the confusion surrounding yesterday's Hillary health scare, the WaPo reported originally, and then revised, that none other than the Secret Service "broke its own protocol" in the confused, stunned context of Hillary Clinton's early departure from Ground Zero on Sunday. The Wapo brought attention to the widely circulated video of the Democratic presidential nominee's departure from the ceremony, in which Clinton can be seen leaning against a security bollard and then buckling and stumbling as her security detail helps her into a black van.

Citing two former Secret Service agents who reviewed the video, "the detail clearly had to rush and did not expect Clinton to leave at that time. They said the Service generally prefers for the protected individual not to wait for a car to arrive, although that has happened before. In the video, Clinton is leaning against the bollard as a black van pulls up." More importantly, the WaPo - which recently recanted its accusation that anyone who inquires into Hillary's health is a right wing conspiracy theorist, writes that it is "it is also unusual for a detail leader to leave the protected individual's side, as a Secret Service agent, Todd Madison, is seen doing in the video, to open the van's doors. Opening the van is typically left to another agent. But because of the rushed nature of the departure, one of the former agents said, another rule of Secret Service protection appears to have carried the day: Whoever is closest to the door must open it."

The incident also raised questions about Clinton's travelling pool of reporters, which she left behind at ground zero when she departed unexpectedly, leaving the press with no knowledge of her whereabouts or condition for about 90 minutes.

Please refresh my memory how they lied for her.

You may be right, but I’m not remembering when they did.

They also should have taken her to a hospital to rule out stroke, seizure, arrythmia,...

Is there any proof that she went to Chelsea's apartment? Did anyone witness that occurring?

How long was Hillary out on the sidewalk at Chelsea's apartment following her episode? To my understanding it was only a few minutes.

It may be possible that Hillary was, in fact, transported to a hospital, and that the person seen outside of Chelsea's apartment was not Hillary, and simply a double.

The lie by omission all the time. Would we have ever heard about Hillary’s seizeure if not for the video? No. And how many SS personnel were standing around when it happened? Dozens.

If your job is to protect a top level person, you are going to be privy to a lot of inside information. You will be there when no one else is, at times. Private phone calls are taken. You overhear them.

As part of their charter, they retain secrecy. If they didn’t, they wouldn’t be allowed to run security for these individuals.

At this point you may be thinking it would be best if the SS didn’t run security any longer. That would mean that each political figure needing security would in effect have their own swat team with them everywhere they went.

I don’t know about you, but the idea of Hillary having her own swat team doesn’t sit well with me.

It is best to have the SS fulfilling this role for both the candidates.

You gave me an example, but that example was rendered meaningless because the public heard about the illness, her fainting, and us seeing the video. There was no need for the SS to say anything. That being the case, you can’t use this as a time when they lied for her.

You may be able to come up with a good example of them doing it. This wasn’t one.

If standard protocol is to toss a semi-conscious hag into a van like a bag of dirty laundry, then OK.

Yep, then drive said severely ill semi-conscious person to an apartment instead of immediately to a hospital, then OK

The SS is doing her bidding. No need for her own security. BTW, do they work for her or us? Who is paying them? Thank you.

"This is why the UniParty Establishment wants Trunp gone — they all (Republicans and Democrats) have their hands in the cookie jar and he treatens their payday. The all want to strike it rich like the Clintons — something most of them could never achieve in the private sector — at taxpayer expense."

Exactly! They've already robbed us of over $20 trillion.

Ambulances are equipped for emergency use.

Looked like an emergency to me.

Which was closer, the ambulance or the hospital ?

They work for us. By conducting themselves as they do, they are actually doing the nation a good service.

Once they breach security, no political person will use them.

That would not be good. It is a benefit to us not to have hILLary hire her own swat team.

Who would vet her personal swat team? What rules would they live by? What security protocols would they adhere to? Would they sell the nation out for a price? They easily could, not being vetted by a secure agency.

I don’t think the SS is perfect. I just think there are unforeseen problems if you get your way on this.

One question for you...

Do you think it would have been a good thing if Obama had been able to hire his own protective team of Blacks sympathetic to the terrorist organizations?

Would you like fellow travelers of the BLM movement, hearing many of this nation’s very private secrets.

He could scarcely call a military operation without spies standing right next to him hearing every little detail.

If the SS breaches security, they’d be out and other very low life people would step in.

Thank you for the discussion.

You cannot fully assess a syncopal episode in an ambulance. All you can do is stablize the patient until they arrive at the hospital for further workup.

Then it seems the ambulance would still have been the best choice.

An ambulance is not required if medical personnel is present and they know what is wrong. In the case of low blood sugar or dehydration, they don’t transport.

If she has pneumonia and doesn’t like to drink water, she could be aspirating on the water.

They were present and we can only presume they 'knew' what was wrong. But why take a chance, when the ambulance is available ?

In the case of low blood sugar or dehydration, they don’t transport.

I don't believe that dehydration was the cause. Low blood sugar is possible. Since she had a doctor accompanying her the whole time, wouldn't they ensure neither of those situations even occurred ?

If there was no reason to transport her, why did the NYPD and the SS first decide to rush her to the hospital ?

Granted , they changed their minds once they took off and lost the NYPD escort, but still they 'transported' her.

Bottom line, based on what we saw and what we (think) we know, it seems they put the political goals ahead of the patient's health and well being.

Doesn’t have a CT scan, MRI, Echocardiogram.

But, the ambulance could have taken her to where they have that equipment, and has the equipment to keep her alive until she arrives.

Ambulances are equipped for emergency use.

This wasn't an emergency ? Looked like one to me.
