UPDATE: DONALD TRUMP DEFENDS SUPPORTERS After Hillary’s ‘Basket of Deplorables’ Slurs

Kellyanne Conway, campaign manager for Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, and Jason Miller, Trump’s Senior Communications Advisor, defended Trump’s supporters from an attack on them Friday night by Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton at an elite New York City fundraiser headlined by Barbra Streisand that raised a reported $6 million.

Clinton called Trump supporters, a “basket of deplorables”, “irredeemable” and “not America” among many slurs she hurled against half the country. Clinton also said they were so desperate for change they don’t care where help comes from.

Conway spoke out Twitter while Miller issued a formal statement through the campaign.

Meanwhile Clinton spokesman Nick Merrill doubled down on Clinton’s insults in a three part Twitter statement late Friday night

Her Full Remarks - Buzzfeed News: (bold highlight mine) “I know there are only 60 days left to make our case — and don’t get complacent, don’t see the latest outrageous, offensive, inappropriate comment and think well he’s done this time. We are living in a volatile political environment. You know, to just be grossly generalistic, you could put half of Trump’s supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables. Right?
