In the enterprise EMC devices and VMware are a VERY big deal.
They go chapter 11 and a company that manages themselves properly gets to buy, at reduced price, any profitable product lines.
Don’t much about EMC anymore but I made a ton of money off of them before the Tech bubble burst. Go out right after the last split in 2000 (price went DOWN to mid $50’S) and the price had climbed back up around $100..
Stupid money buys EMC.
They once were the best, but now they are a pig in a poke at premium pricing.
I know. I work in the enterprise storage industry. I have worked for all the majors.
I have an Everex desktop computer over 10 years old, still chugging along, never had a single problem. Unbelievable!
In my personal finances, EMC and VMWare are a very big deal.
