The woman walking on her left is holding her elbow / arm as we were trained to walk my mother in a nursing home before she was limited to a wheel chair (she was never able to use a walker because of her lack of balance )

We stopped walking her because of incidence when her legs would buckle and we were unable to hold her. I have used a wall or piece of furniture to hold her against to keep her from falling until help came to assist me.

The leaning against the poll while keeping hold of the elbow and others coming to assist moving her are all too familiar.

Mother had a form of dementia.
