Teenage boys rushed into an Apple store in Hingham on Monday evening and stole more than 20 phones, police said.
Ten to 12 boys went into the store in the Derby Street Shoppes about 5:40 p.m. and stole 22 phones before fleeing, Hingham police said in a Twitter posting.
Police said the teenagers were all wearing sweatshirts with their hoods on.
Hingham Police Sergeant Steven Dearth said a witness saw some of the boys leaving in what looked like a white Ford Taurus with the license plates covered up. The witness lost sight of another group of boys once they entered the parking lot, so there may have been another vehicle involved.
Police are investigating, and waiting for the Apple store to send surveillance camera footage, Dearth said...
Obviously, weve seen things where multiple people were involved, Dearth said. But we havent seen anything quite like this thats organized with this many people. We havent seen anything like that, and we have a lot of retail places there.
The incident comes several weeks after an organized group of teenagers flooded a Roslindale convenience store July 24 and began throwing and stealing merchandise.

Description of the iPhones. We don’t know what to look for.
“Another story on the subject described the perps as “black males” so Apple is going to need to have guards at that store now.”
What good do you think that guards would do. You know that they won’t be armed and there are probably 30 local/state laws preventing them from doing anything except perhaps delivering a sternly-worded admonishment. If they are even touched it would be like hitting the lottery for the perps.
Dumbasses. iPhone 7 is just around the corner. Can’t they read? Oh, wait...
I'll take care of that before others jump on it.
Rectangular. Rounded corners.
Probably need to put Comey on the case ... just for laughs of course!
Don't you know? Massachusetts is a STRONG gun control state. Of COURSE, these young men in hoods would be obeying the strict gun control laws and regulations enacted by the enlightened progressive Massachusetts State Legislature and signed by their equally brilliant governor, who are absolutely certain that everyone obeys such laws. . . especially criminals and hoodlums. Therefore, the group of "alternate shoppers" will not be carrying anything threatening to the "Coercive Purchasing Agents" Apple might haved indentured under slave wages to force the evil company's preferred mode of shopping on innocent customers.
Every display device has special software. The thieves will be lucky if all it does is brick the device. More likely they enter a power save mode devoted to transmitting location & pictures.
Or, maybe Barney Frank went into teaching youts how to screw whitey!

There is a decidedly upscale mall in Jacksonville FL where the Apple store usually has at least two uniformed (and armed) JSO officers at the door. I’ve never been by there without seeing them.
That was my first question. 😀😆😄
About as likely as the Washington Generals beating the Harlem Globetrotters.
That’s either a really big horse or a low-rider buggy. Do they have Hispanic Amish ?
Were they carrying Algebra II books?
It happens:) This will freak out the good liberal folks of Hingham.
I live in Massachusetts, right down the road from where this happened. I have my concealed carry license. It was very easy to get. I own multiple rifles and handguns. I shoot at my local rod and gun club all the time. Plenty of people here carry and are pro-gun.
I know what is missing - the teens were all wearing sweatshirts with their hoods on.
Yes, it was a lowrider buggy.
“Nice” areas are only minutes away by car from thug habitats. If you have mass transit, well, young thugs often get to ride for free, being “students.”
Wrong, lol.
