Conservative icon Phyllis Schlafly passed away on Monday. She was 92.
Schlafly, the founder of Eagle Forum, rose to prominence in the 1960s when she wrote the book A Choice, Not an Echo, which sold more than three million copies. She was a leading voice of opposition against the Equal Rights Amendment, fighting to preserve traditional gender roles.
She wrote a total of 23 books, the most recent being an expanded edition of A Choice, Not an Echo. In March, Schlafly endorsed Donald Trump for president.
Schafly was predeceased by her husband, John, and is survived by her six children.
I was so happy that she had the wisdom to support Mr. Trump, and stick with him under great pressure.
Sad to hear this :(
RIP dear Phyllis. You’ve fought the greatest fight.
Thank you for showing the light, to so many, over so many years.
RIP Mrs. Schlafly.
And yet... ultimately... the battle has to be won on our knees, because there isn’t anyone deserving of it. We need forgiveness, grace, and mercy, and then to use those things to carry the kingdom of God forward in the midst of an America that never actually was “Christian” — at best, it was Christianized.
Phyllis could have shouted until she was hoarse for a “moral majority” victory, but without the divine support for it through people willingly yielded to Christ — nothing would happen.
God may be about to act again, and Phyllis may be given a view of it from heaven, and confess that indeed Jesus is wonderful Lord.
It is a horrible thought, surely.
If those heirs were willing to engage in such debauchery, I would put nothing past the vindictiveness of globalists anywhere.
So, yes, I hope there is an autopsy including toxicology tests, but, due to her advanced age, I’m not sure it will be done and we will even know.
I LOVED her!!! RIP.
They were “nevertrumpers” in the vein of Cruz, weren’t they?
This could mean that they meant well, but they did not understand what God was doing.
RIP! She was a great lady!
A great lady. Rest in peace.
I still ❤ Phyllis Schlafly. She was the most important women of the 20th century. Please Lord have mercy on her and grant the repose of her soul as well as comfort and console her family.
And if they come out waxing poetically about her we know they are even phonier than we knew.
RIO Mrs. Schlafly, well done....
Yes, I remember that vividly.
Just saw that actor Hugh O’Brien (age 91) died too.
Sometimes it does take absence to make the heart grow fonder. With her gone to her Savior, now the nevertrumpers may start to understand what is going on... what with the way the world was trying to hurry on its way with the story of Donald Trump and getting blessings from a black church.
I would remonstrate with them first. Sometimes we do not miss the water until we see the well is dry.
A beautiful plea
Phyllis, along with just a handful at the top of the political spectrum, were so Eliot Ness this political season: Untouchable.
Thank you Phyllis for all you did for the USA.
God is welcoming you home.
Great lady. I think they were trying to kick her off the board because she endorsed Trump. RIP.
She had a good. long life. So my we all.
Great lady and patriot. She was everything that Hillary isn’t. RIP.
