Conservatives tricked into sharing bogus stories concocted by left
Almost all of us have been a victim of accidentally spreading fake news at one time. A trusted friend emails you a link to an article that is red meat for the conservative base; it sounds legitimate, and the name of the site even sounds official. You forward the article and post it on Facebook and Twitter and then the backlash is embarrassing. Multiple people point out youre wrong, and you feel like an idiot. But how were you to know, especially in this information overload, social media era? It has become normal to quickly skim articles and headlines.
It used to be The Onion was the only satire news site. And the site makes it very clear its news is satire. But within the last year, multiple sites (there is a list compiled here https://stream.org/left-busy-planting-fake-conservative-news-sites/) have sprung up that do not make it clear they are satire, if at all. They brazenly post fake news that isnt even funny, like The Onion, but sounds like legitimate news.

It’s funny how they list The People’s Cube as fake satire.
It’s real comrades, it’s real....
You ever told someone on facebook that the news is fake and people posting right after you just keep on getting mad like they don’t even read other peoples post.
What bothered me is that people didn’t like to get taken in by John’s brilliance and so complained. I, on the other hand, thought it was fun to be caught up in his lunacy and for one brief moment being taken in. Some folks are too stuck up!
It isn’t just leftist sites. Conservative sites repeatedly spread false/half-true stories/statistics on immigration and illegal immigration.
Immigration is the single reason so many undecided have not gone to Trump even though they hate Clinton and agree with Trump on most everything except immigration. (I’m talking about ordinary voters here. I’m not talking about National Review.)
Thank you...
We can be just as bad, unfortunately, as the liberals we despise...
We must strive to be better...
I keep away from Snopes, regardless. I try not to fall for fake news sites. One has to realize that the lib/commies are admirers of Saul Alinsky, who did dedicate “His Rules for Radicals” to the devil.

The “Go.com” domain has been a legit Disney domain for a long time (1998).
http://abcnews.go.com is ABC news.
Notice that “Go.com” is the base domain for a lot of “Disney Interactive” sites:
https://disneyworld.disney.go.com
https://disneyland.disney.go.com
http://abcnews.go.com
https://disneycruise.disney.go.com
http://go.com
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Go.com
ok. Thanks.
