Former Fox News host Gretchen Carlson secretly recorded inappropriate statements made by former Fox News Chairman and CEO Roger Ailes, New York Magazine reported Friday.
Carlson recorded conversations with Ailes for at least a year and captured "numerous incidents" of harassment on her phone, the report said.
"I think you and I should have had a sexual relationship a long time ago, and then you'd be good and better and I'd be good and better," one recording of Ailes speaking to Carlson reportedly says.
"Sometimes problems are easier to solve that way," Ailes, 76, allegedly also told Carlson, 50, at another point.
A source in the report says the recorded meetings with Ailes occurred between 2014 and 2015.
Carlson filed a lawsuit against Ailes in July. He resigned amid an internal investigation 15 days later.

Does this mean Megan Kelly was putting out for Roger?

In a court of law, sure. But in the court of public opinion? Ailes could sue I suppose, but given the content and context, he’d still lose.

If the above conversation is accurate, then there is no denying its being sexual harrassment. If she just wants verification of her honesty, then she has it.
Andrea Tantaros is making the same claim. Some thought she was dropped because she supported Trump but apparently it was claiming sexual harassment from Ailes.
Meh.
For phone conversations it depends on which state you are in. For many states, all parties have to agree to the recording, for some states, such as NY, one party can record without informing another party. (But it has to be someone participating in the conversation who knows of and makes the recording.)
How does this prove the lies of others defending ailes ? Did these liars witness anything between ailes and Carlson ? Did something happen between these liars and roger that you feel they are lying about ? Inquiring minds want to know . You must have really good inside sources .

Women often are judged harshly by their looks in the workplace—and often required to look their best in a way that men aren’t.
That doesn’t mean that they are fair targets for sexual harassment—jeesh!
Linda Tripp got indicted for taping Monica.
Some news articles say he is.
But I’ll bet the farm that if all this pans out to be true, Greta will be the first to pound it home on her show and take no prisoners in her opinions.......
I hope Trump bounces him out on his fat ear if these accusations are true.........
Tripp lived in Maryland, where the law states that all parties must consent to being recorded. As others have already noted, New York only requires that one party of a conversation consent.

Even if true, then why did Gretchen stay on for years?
Since we are talking about rumors and not facts. I’ve heard most of the hot women anchors, not all, you see on TV basically slept their way into that position.
Instead of a pay to play. It was f*ck to play. To be a “star”....
