ESPN Pundit Apologizes For Saying Black People Aren’t Oppressed In America [VIDEO]

ESPN sports pundit Paul Finebaum apologized for saying black people aren’t oppressed in America.

“I really don’t understand, not to look at the country back then, this country has issues, but this country is not oppressing black people,” Finebaum said during an appearance on ESPN.

He is now backing off of his comments.

“I could spend the rest of my life trying to talk my way out of it, but I can’t. I blew it. I simply did not have a good grasp of the situation. I know better. I’ve lived in this country. I see what is going on all across the country from north to south, east to west, and I have no excuse,” the outspoken pundit said.

Finebaum committed the unpardonable sin (in progressive circles) of speaking the truth.

They (Disney/ESPN) basically made him an offer he couldn’t refuse.

Black people have special rights and privileges. Black people are not oppressed in America.

Part of the country IS oppressing black people. We sometimes call them “liberals.”

Finebaum must be a proper good liberal not to have been suspended or fired for his comments.

Where are they oppressed and who oppresses them?

Many who went for it made big futures and good money, others who never gave it their best IMO start going for race or oppression excuses.

ESPN told him to better shut his trap otherwise he will get the hook..so he bent over kissed a little behind and “apologized” I havent seen any blacks picking cotton lately have I missed it..when you see black youth on TV looting liquor stores for bags of Cheetos all I hear from the press is that they have every right to that free stuff, doesn’t sound like oppression to me

Black people are in bad shape. Check.
Black people are complaining that it’s from oppression. Check.
Black people are blaming modern conservatives for the oppression. DISCONNECT

Telling the truth has become a revolutionary act.

I’m proud to be a revolutionary.

Like GWB said. The soft bigotry of low expectations... and this is especially bad when it gets to the expectation of being low!

People often tend to live up to what we expect out of them.

Holder was right. We are a nation of cowards. Every one is afraid to speak the truth or too cowardly to allow the truth to go unapologized for.

Poor people of any color wanting work need to follow the two big rules of being employed.

#1 Move to where the work is, it will not crawl up and knock on your project door with offers.
#2 Show up every day for the job and do your best.

There is no oppression if anyone tries to do the two rules above. There is no oppression unless you were kidnapped here and are locked in a basement making Apple products.
