I just witnessed an anti-Trump ad on CNN here in Sacramento, CA.
What's up with that? Is she just throwing money away, or is she in trouble everywhere?
The ads are paid for locally and the reason is turnout for legislative and House races. Because Hillary is a sure thing In Califronia and the US Senate race is a runoff between two Democrats, the party is very worried Democrats lack the urgency to turn out, costing them a bunch of marginal seats. Running ads for Clinton makes low-information voters feel they need to turn out.
I believe the ones I have seen are from a PAC, endorsed by Clinton, but I believe that makes little to no difference in reality. If their side believes it is necessary to spend a significant amount of their campaign funds in a state that they should have locked up, I see it as a sign if significant weakness in their chosen candidate.
I assume the dems will want Californians and California Mexicans to vote in Nevada and Arizona on election day.
Remember the stories of bus loads of Bears fans going from poll to poll in Wisconsin 4 years ago?
A recent meeting Trump had with a group of Latinas, has them singing Trump’s praises.
Word like that gets around. It could be a huge windfall for Trump in CA.
Hillary must be very worried (or her campaign is).
There's something strange going on.
On second thought, I agree. Given that the PAC and the Clinton campaign are almost certainly illegally coordinating, one is the same as the other.
That's nice, but those several hundred will not overcome the millions of "gimmedats" and bleeding-heart hippie socialists that control California. Things like virtues, self-worth, self-accountability, work ethic, moral principles just don't apply to denizens of SF, SAC, and LA where most live.
The Golden State that I was so once proud of with all its promise and opportunities has turned into a toxic brew of lead, arsenic, and potassium cyanide. A witches brew from the socialists.
Except Hitler was not known to be wearing depend diapers.
If Trump had fallen on his face or if they thought they could present it that way, it would be front page above the fold news.
I have Dish and the same commercials play in California as in Florida (it’s the same satellite channel).
FX is also a national feed.

My guess is that her health is so bad that her campaign has decided on a strategy of using allies in the press to make a 24-hour, non-stop blitz of anti Trump stories.
Meanwhile, she hides out and ducks coverage because there isn't much of an upside for her getting shown in the press. Much like pics of her "oven mitt" outfit. There is just no spinning something like that into a positive for her.
That may or may not be typical of CNN or other news channels, but it typically is so for the local channels whether they are broadcasting a national feed (usually) or not. The satellite feed will be the same as far as the programming, but in general, the local markets will feed their own advertising through the line on cue.
When I watch FX here in Southern California, I frequently see commercials that would only interest people living in this area, such as Car Sales from local dealers.
If you are going to spend money on an ad that you have to pay through the nose for in the first place, you are going to want to target your audience to get the most bang for your buck. If you have a National audience, like during major events, you are going to be paying a stunning premium to put your ad in the National Feed. Superbowl ads are a good example for that. As many times as I've seen the Clinton ads here, they would have had to cough up over 2 billion dollars to pay for such an ad if it was being broadcast nationwide (and I'm not talking at Superbowl ad rates).
I hope I'm getting my point across. Whether or not the feed is “National”, as far as the non-all news channels go, the local broadcaster will broadcast their own advertisements negotiated with the client. I have no doubt there is probably some overlap with agreements that stipulate that the local broadcaster must allow such and such amount of National ad time, but I highly doubt that the Clinton ads I've seen fall into that category. However, there is also the reality that the MSM and media in general would not hesitate to “gift” such prohibitively expensive airtime to Clinton if they can get away with it.
I get FXX on channel 125 on dish satellite and I assure you there are no local commercials on that transponder. It is national feed only. Cable might be different but satellite is national. It is not even time shifted. I get east coast targeted prime-time programming 3 hours early. Same with CNN on channel 200 and FOX news on 205. I get local commercials on 3, 6, 12 and 24 (local channels) only but these are not national feeds although they use national feeds for broadcast. I get ABC, NBC, CBS and FOX time delayed from east coast time.
You seem to be receiving a satellite feed. That is entirely different from what the majority of Americans receive, correct?
I’m also talking about FX, not FXX.
The difference is probably not an issue, but my previous post still outlines what I believe I am seeing vs what you are seeing.
Satellite feeds are significantly different from cable feeds that originate from the same source but are managed differently. I’ve seen the difference in the past when I was able to sample a strict satellite feed vs the cable/local variety.
I understand what you imply, but I differ in the opinion of the ultimate outcome of what is observed in local markets.
With you there my Friend, but I still drive around Southern California with my TRUMP 45 Vanity License Plates.
I get many positive Comments and a few dirty looks. Only one flip off so far, from a Mexican guy in Temecula. LOL
To be frank, I think Hillary is such a weak Candidate that there is less visceral reaction towards Trump here than we would have expected, at least with the Legal population.
Today a Woman FedEx Driver stopped to take a Picture of my License Plates. She told me she had no doubt Trump was going to win. I hope she is right.
Not saying that CA will go his way, but he will certainly beat McCain’s and Romney’s numbers in November, no doubt.
