It is expected that Trump advisor and former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, RNC Chairman Reince Priebus and Alabama Sen. Jeff Sessions, along with high-ranking Mexican officials, will attend the meeting.
Officials expect the two leaders to make some statement following the meeting, but do not expect a full press conference.
The trip is particularly historic for Trump in that no previous non-incumbent presidential nominee of a major party has ever travelled to Mexico as part of his campaign.

Only Nixon could go to China.
Only Trump can go to Mexico.
you are quite foolish for that statement. Why are you disconcerted over such a misconception?
——We are gonna do the same.——
Ahhhh..... no. You are going to also build a northern wall. The negotiations for the deal have begun
In my view, the wall will be metaphorical. The Strong efforts of out Border Patrol coupled with the strong efforts of the Mexican Federales will wall off and stop illegal immigration.
Mexico will comply or die.
I find it highly disconcerting that Trump would campaign in Mexico. He isnt running for the Presidency of Mexico, he is running for President of the USA. I dont think this is a good move.
You sound like one of those "I gotta have a reason to fret so I'll just pick something and twist it into a worrisome scenario".
Donate something to Trump's campaign and go ahead and Donate to FR while you're at it.
Those good moves would hep couter whater yoiu think to be bad moves by Trump.....
I hope he stays safe.
The cartels probably have manpads.
If they try it, things won’t look too good with our “friends” on the southern border.
DJT definitely has large brass ones, ones that could sink a ship!
Trump and Brexit's Nigel Farage are the current leaders of the Free World. Why would Mexico bother to invite Trump if his election was not a fait accompli?
It's called being Presidential.
Zero's credibility has been totally gutted.
Well said, Williams!
Which we TOTALLY NEED. Great thinking !
What's historic about it?
Yup. It is a brilliant move on Trump’s part. It’s also amazing how there are so many myopic and one dimensional FReepers who don’t see the significance of this political maneuver.
How old are you... twelve?
And what areas of agreement would Pena Nieto and Trump have on those topics? Trump will say the U.S. will build a wall and Mexico will pay for it. Pena Nieto says no. Trump says he wants to renegotiate NAFTA. Pena Nieto says no. Trump says he'll deport all the illegal aliens. Pena Nieto says good luck. Could be a short conversation.
Mexicans in the United States are supporting the Mexican economy.
Trump is absolutely correct when he says “We hold all the cards”.
We could turn Mexico into Venezuela in a heartbeat. Do you think that Mexico doesn’t know this?
Trump will stop kissing countries a$$es and start dictating terms.
Yup. Too bad there are so many dopey FReepers who don’t see the brilliance.
The Mexican-American voting population is large and Donald wants a share of them. This can be a smart move on his part and I applaud him for it.
Its interesting that the Mexican President is agreeing to such a meeting.
Probably sees the ‘writing on the wall’ pun intended.:)
I wonder what kind of deals they will work out behind the scenes?
Mexico agrees to pay for the wall, take back its 10-15 million citizens living in the US illegally (sort of like reverse refugees :) ), and Trump promises to import from Mexico?
Pena Nieto is the head of state. Trump is a private citizen and candidate. Trump goes to him, not the other way around.
Whoever came up with this idea I think is a genius.
Mexico extended the invitation to both of them. Trump accepted.
Highly
Right up with Hugh and Series
Surely you must have known that
Here, hold my hand! We'll help guide you to where you want to go...
...and after we've done the "scary" work of getting Trump elected, we'll let you know and you can come out.
