I was just watching Richard Pryor’s skit yesterday when he was visiting the Penitentiary while researching for “Stir Crazy”.
Gene Wilder asked me, “What do you think they’d do to us?”
“F___ us.”
And Gene says, “But I’m not Homosexual.”
“Homosexual ain’t got nothing to do with it. They don’t do it because they like you, they do it, just to see that look on your face.”
Condolences to family and friends of Gene Wilder. R.I.P., sir.
love
Sad news. I like him in quite a lot of films (including Bonnie and Clyde). I think his greatest role was Willy Wonka.
And to think both Mel Brooks and Carl Reiner are still alive and very hale even now. Brooks and Reiner were true pioneers of television comedy in its infancy and contributed a lot to television, movies and even the stage.
"Oy. Oy $h!+"
LOL...you summed it perfectly. I hit 65 three weeks ago. Simply not possible! I’m still 21.
RIP. Thank you for how you used your God-given talent, Mr. Wilder.
The sheriff is a ni- Bang..!
That’s what I was thinking. A Hollywood couple actually in love and she goes so young.
Figures.
Sadness.... RIP Gene
Ha! Me, too.
When I was little and would watch Willy Wonka, during the boat ride scene, Gene was totally out of control, that scene was always frightening. It was like a crazy uncle who would just for kicks blow through every third stop light or something, you know what I mean?
RIP. Loved Blazing Saddles & Silver Streak. Both had me in tears.

I wonder if any regular cable could play Blazing Saddles without chopping it to bits. Maybe Sundance.
RIP
Give our best to Gilda Radner.
“I didnt think he was that old. Then I remembered how old I am.”
Same, exact reaction I had! This one hit me for some reason. Maybe he’s reunited with Gilda now. That was such a loss. RIP, Gene Wilder, you were a comedic genius.
Blazing Saddles, best comedy ever made...
