On Monday, WMUR released an interview segment with each Democrat running in the gubernatorial primary discussing gun control. As painful as it may seem to sit through interview after interview with any politicians, it’s important to understand what these men are saying and what they actually mean. All three Democrats for Governor – Colin Van Ostern, Mark Connolly and Steve Marchand – are for gun control yet claim to be supporters of the 2nd Amendment. Political Buzz breaks down their statements with facts.

There are salami tactics, which have been countered.

Setting up the GCA 1968 with requirements for bound books and 4473’s is a salami slice.

Requiring FFL sold guns to go through the NICS is another.

Next salami slice: requiring NICS and 4473 for all sales (universal background check.

Step after that, in a generation or two, full fledged registration as is not happening in California.

Nice but silly. Guess you didn’t get the memo that it’s all about ‘responsible gun safety’ now. Carry with a round in the chamber? Unsafe. You are hereby deemed “unsafe”. No gun for you. So say the gun nazis. :-)

Oh CRAP! I’m sick of hearing that the old fat sick hen Hillary is this omnipotent Wonder Woman who can wave aside our Second Amendment rights with her gnarled old hand.

Full disclosure: I’m 67 with chronic heart disease & I’ll call Hilly Boo Boo any name I want.

What she wants and what she gets are two completely different animals. Ask Diane Feinstein, the biggest gungrabber failure since the Redcoats at Lexington & Concord.

Nice but silly.

That's what I'm talking about, though. They're on the offensive... WE should be on the offensive, even more so.

NH Primary Results

In the rat Gubernatorial Primary was won as expected by Executive Councilor Colin Van Ostern.

In the GOP primary, Executive Councilor Chris of House Sununu leads State Rep. Frank Edelblut by about 1000 votes with 20 precincts outstanding.

In the GOP primary for CD-1, Congressman Frank Gunita leads Businessman Rich Ashooh (Gesundheit) by less than 700 votes with 4 precincts outstanding. I forgot why Gunita is having problems. I don’t know which is more conservative or a stronger candidate. The winner faces Che-Porter, again.

It was also primary day in RI and Delaware.

I keep forgetting that the DE Congressional seat is open because Carney is running for Governor. The GOP forgot as well cause only a single fairly weak Republican ran, it’s considered safe rat.

The rats had a crowded primary and nominated a Black chick. A real candidate probably could have given her a race.

I’ve never heard of any of those NH people except for Guinta and that doof Che Porter.

In the little TV I do watch, there are always Ayotte-Hassan ads run.

MTV: I stopped watching that when GHW Bush was POTUS.

In NH-02, former state Representative Jim Lawrence won the GOP nomination. From what I recall from the prior time he ran (2014 I believe), he’s a conservative. And if he wins the upset in the Dem-leaning NH-02, he’d be the first black Republican to represent a New England state in Congress since Gary Franks of CT back in the 1990s.

Also in New England, black Republican Randy Brock is running in what should be a very competitive race for Lt. Governor of Vermont. http://www.randybrock.com/

The bad news, everyone is rating NH-2 safe rat. Green Papers.com shows Lawrence with no money as of the last FEC filing. Open secrets has him having raised $36,917. Kuster(d) has 2 mil.

How worried are you about NH-1? Looks like Gunita has the nomination.

I think that Guinta should just go ahead and change his surname to Gunita (and his ethnicity to Dravidian, I guess), since that’s likelier than you ever spelling his name correctly. : )

I’m quite concerned about NH-01. Guinta’s “ethical lapse” is a big nothingburger (he transferred money to his campaign account from a personal bank account that he shared with his father, and someone alleged—and Guinta denied—that the money deposited the bank account came from his dad, not him), but Guinta’s been hit on this issue for like two years now and it could cost him in that closely divided district. If Trump’s drag among college graduates and professionals is substantial, then Guinta’s road fo reelection will become even more uphill, even against a moonbat like Che-Porter.

Lawrence definitely needs (i) money and (ii) a minor miracle to knock off Kuster.

yes, local media is so splintered in NH2, that it takes a while to get name recognition.

running a new candidate every 2 years wont work.
Guinta is in trouble.
ME-2 is exciting for Trump

Sadly, Guinta may be toast. He didn’t even survive 2012, when I presume his ethics weren’t in question, and his 2014 win to take the seat back was noticeably weaker (52%-48%) than when he smoked Shea-Porter in 2010 (54%-42%). He may not have worn well there.

That's probably true. ;-p

Anyway, I'm thinking we probably need Trump to carry the district to save him. He (46%) actually ran behind Romney (48.6%) in 2012 with a libertarian getting 4% and Che just under 50%.
