Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump continued to insist Wednesday in a "Hannity" town hall with Fox News' Sean Hannity that there will be "no amnesty" for illegal immigrants, but suggested that he would be willing to "work with them."
His remarks were the latest in a series of recent interviews where he has said he is considering softening a previous pledge made at the onset of his campaign to deport 11 million illegal immigrants in the U.S. During a "Hannity" town hall on Tuesday, Trump said he was open to "softening" laws dealing with illegal immigrants.
On Wednesday, Trump told Hannity there would be "no citizenship" for those illegal immigrants.
"Let me go a step further- they'll pay back-taxes, they have to pay taxes, there's no amnesty, as such, there's no amnesty, but we work with them," Trump said.
He also spoke of how hard it would be to deport people who have lived in the country for decades and raised a family.
"Now, everybody agrees we get the bad ones out," Trump said. "But when I go through and I meet thousands and thousands of people on this subject, and I've had very strong people come up to me, really great, great people come up to me, and they've said, 'Mr. Trump, I love you, but to take a person who's been here for 15 or 20 years and throw them and their family out, it's so tough, Mr. Trump,' I have it all the time! It's a very, very hard thing."

Follow the law.
Maybe the Donald is throwing a sucker punch to get their votes.
And that is just what he said.Enforce the laws.
One thing to keep in mind is that Hillary will IMMEDIATELY make them citizens and already has promised to end the English-language requirement, so Trump has a long way to go to reach her.
I do think he’s toying around now...getting the Dems off-balance...and it’s working.
Make nice now, then shove them over the border with bulldozers.
what he’s doing is making it look like he’s pedling back and forth. What is he doing asking an audience what they think? He will lose more votes than he gets if he backpedals. He will lose votes from all sides if he can’t make up his mind.
I can't disagree. No one likes a wishy washy candidate.
Another thing to keep in mind - once illegals are given official license to stay, Schumer will immediately begin squawking about the unfairness of their paying taxes but not having a voice or a vote. “Taxation without representation” will be the rallying cry from the extremists as their efforts toward citizenship shift into full-time high gear, knowing that 20-40 million citizens equals permanent democrat control. Trump cannot yield on the status of illegals.
Yes, they should walk under their own power onto the deportation buses.
Otherwise, sedate them and haul 'em deep into mid-coastal Mexico on boats.
"Wakey wakey!"
Sheppey the hard left Gay boy runs the news room .
this divide and conquer bs is the exact crap spit out by CNN.
Trump in Tampa last nite said NO amnesty but Fox Globalist News ignores that !
Ignore the Murdoch propaganda
Typical liberal argument. It’s similar to when McCain said, I’m not going to deport the mother of a soldier in Iraq. They aren’t all made of families who have kids who are in college.
He and I disagree here. Whether they came in 10 years ago, or they came in yesterday, they are illegally here. They are holding down jobs that could be filled with citizens. They are using state provided services at no cost. Others are using the welfare system illegally. Many have been given the opportunity to vote illegally. There is a high crime rate among them as indicated by the amounts in jail or prison. And many are active in bringing more in in the way of family and friends illegally to do the same. They are trespassing on our land and knew they were doing it against our laws when they did it, so they are criminals just by that alone to include federal and state.
Now I have just displayed half a dozen reasons why they should be deported. Outside of feeling sorry for them, are there any reasons for their staying? They don’t have rights and they shouldn’t have privileges. They are leeches drawing on the US for free and should be deported, not worked with. We aren’t working with the homeless here enough. And many of them earned it with years defending this country and now they are discharged, hurt, sick, or just can’t make it after living through their first hell. But we’re soupposed to help criminals over them?
You want to talk about compassion, use it on who earns it. Our people, not unwanted intruders.

Let's hope so. These people are still taking jobs from Americans. They need to go.
Don’t do this Donald!
I watched Fox News last night until I reached my barf point when “Campaign Carl” said there was “no evidence” to support the charge that the Witch had serious health problems.
The thing of it is.. unless Trumps suddenly says he is for open borders.. he has got my vote.
No new laws that benefit illegal aliens or their employers.
Remember, it is not just amnesty for the illegal aliens but also for the people who have been employing them.
If Trump wants to lose, softening on illegals is the way to do it.
That issue was why he got nominated.
