Donald Trump may have hinted recently that he intends to soften his tough immigration stances, but he sure didnt sound that way speaking to several thousand supporters in Tampa on Wednesday.
Hillary Clinton wants a totally open border. We are going to enforce our laws, remove people who overstay their visas, he promised a boisterous crowd at the Florida State Fairgrounds. Hillary Clinton would rather give a job to an illegal immigrant than to an unemployed Hispanic citizen, an unemployed African-American citizen, or even to a veteran. ...
I am going to suspend immigration wherever effective screening cannot take place and I am going to institute a new ideological screening program to keep out people who dont share our values, said Trump, frequently veering from the script on his TelePrompter. You mark my words, Ive been very good at predicting things.... Bad, bad things are going to be happening with these people pouring into our country.

Yep. And it better stay that way
I’d like to hear Hillary’s denial of Trumps accusations. Ha!
Trump is dividing Hillary’s base - legal minorities against illegal minorities.
Whew.
It was an excellent rally in Tampa. Hardline hitting Hillary all the way.
What about the disturbing Hannity backtrack? Was that a Kelly Conaway trial balloon to fish for GOPe support?
Trump is dividing Hillarys base - legal minorities against illegal minorities.
...
Those minorities won’t hear the truth of what Trump says if the media has anything to do with it.
But the reason that Trump has softened his speech on immigration is not to try to win the Latino vote, because he should know that it will be almost impossible. That screed is linked on the front page.Latinos will not forget that Trump began his campaign with a speech in which he stated that most of the undocumented Mexicans are criminals and rapists.
Latinos will not forget that Trump has proposed creating a "force deportation" to expel the 11 million undocumented immigrants, even if it means separating parents of young children.
Latinos will not forget that Trump has disqualified a judge of the United States, Gonzalo Curiel, because "he is Mexican," although Curiel was born in Indiana.
Latinos will not forget that Trump mocked those who "speak Mexican" in a tweet of August 24, 2015.
Latinos will not forget that Trump encourages and celebrates the songs of "We will build the wall" in his campaign events.
And if some Latino voters forget all the offenses Trump, Hillary Clinton's campaign we will remember in their TV ads. It has already begun to do so.
My opinion: Yes, Trump is making a change in slow motion of his incendiary rhetoric about undocumented immigrants. But it is not doing that to have any hope of winning the Latino vote.
He does it because desperately needs to increase its support among white voters those whites who are not racist or xenophobic or sexist, or making fun of people with physical disabilities.
You need soften the fears of those white voters who are Republicans, though not comfortable voting for a candidate who gives the impression of being a callous, egomaniacal and authoritarian. The change is cosmetic Trump speech, and is aimed at non-racist white voters.

Please consider this that I posted yesterday a couple of times on this issue to differing threads;
After watching this whole brouhaha trying to set the narrative to diminish Trump, the campaign led by he himself with steady advice from Steven and Kellyanne, are actually setting the narrative while the left is hyperventilating trying to set the next distraction.
The amazing this is the left is being played to their weaknesses and I think his strategy has Steven written all over it tacked by guidance through his study of the left.
If you notice, they lend to the lefts current narrative by not stating the details of their immigration plan other than to keep repeating that they will enforce the laws. By canceling the expected speech on Thursday, they lend into the pins and needles the left is setting on ready to pounce once the expected force plan is announced, so they just continue to chatter about it raising the awareness of when it is finally given.
For most in the chattering class, they do not know what the laws are or are unwilling to report them. They will be forced to admit what the laws are when the Trump campaign finally comes out with their plan and cites actual statutes which gives the left nowhere to go but to again try to lie about it. But, most will be forced to see the truth, again.
In the pond fishing world, they call that hook, line and sinker.
Whoever it was should be fired, and if Trump was as smart as everyone says he is he would have done it before he went out and gave Hillary a break from what he should have been doing, hammering her on filling her pockets with cash.
Why has he not talked about her selling our uranium to Putin for 145 million doollars?
It is amazing to watch so many on the right side jump at every hyperventilating left media bait.
So unbecoming that these ‘adults’ need to be held by hands every step of the way to be reassured of all their fears.
He always said deport but with a big door for the good ones to return. That always was the softer part. He will remind of that. It has been his message from the outset.

The wedge splits
a few votes split off here and a few votes split off there and you end up victorious
Fox was all over Trump’s “softened” stance yesterday.
What makes it a ‘hard line’? How about it is just common sense?
I like his softened tone. Meg was accusing him of a major flip flop which is why nobody should give solutions to Mexicans here. It is a no win issue.
Pray America wakes
Per text to me yesterday from Steve Bannon: “NO CHANGE IN POLICY”
Enforcing the already existing laws is extreme. Got it.
I turned the program off.
