From the govt teachers, or muslims?
It surely would be cheaper to arm and train a certain percentage of teachers and staff in each school to carry concealed so that attackers would not know which personnel needed to be shot first. They could induct them all into the army, perhaps, to maintain the no civilian carrying of guns principle.
You can never defend everything as the terrorists get to pick and decide what to attack. That’s why the best defense is a good offense.

I looked at their newspaper Le Figaro yesterday and it was about Catholic schools getting more security.

I once, long ago, when I use to read newspapers, noticed an above the fold article about Jesse Jackson talking to a group touting strength through diversity.
Same newspaper (to be clear) there was a below the fold article about Jesse Jackson talking to a black organization touting strength through unity.
I kid you not.

The politicians brought “the threat” into the country. They should be tried for treason.
Teaching first aid to 13 and 14 year-olds in case their school is attacked by terrorists and they need to use those skills to try and save classmates lives. Are the French, or any Western nation, looking seriously at ways to reduce the probability of such attacks by reducing the number of people whose religion provides them with justification and a ticket to paradise for carrying out such attacks?
Beslan can happen here, I shudder thinking about it.
I’ve always worried that the next mass attack will be on our children. With our “gun free” zones we’ve made them horribly vulnerable.
The radicals want a religious war, they want to force all muslims, everywhere, into the fight. The best way to do that is to do something so heinous that a backlash against muslims in general would, most likely, occur. This would be the way to trigger it, make all muslims feel they’re being targeted.
The situation is at critical mass in France. Encouraged by weak leadership both here and in Europe, something really bad is about to happen, it is inevitable :(
