He was 76...very possibly Vietnam.
“I have had nothing but stellar care through my VA.”
I have a friend that is also very pleased with his care.
Personally, I applied for care 15 months ago. I was confirmed as a combat vet, put in the paper work, heard nothing since.
Considering the horror stories, I do not plan on following up.
My point is, though, it must have to do with management at a regional level, with no upper management at all that cares enough to get the slackers in line.
You’re welcome. And thank YOU for your service to our country. Hope you and yours fully recover and live a long, happy and healthy life. :)
The poster to which I responded said he WAS a combat veteran yet nothing in the article said that.
Practically everyone of his age group, and mine, is a veteran but most of them never saw combat.

Burn After Reading: Obamacare Website Scrubs Any Reference On How To Keep Your Doctor

Sadly not true.
Following WWII a private charity provided vets wheelchairs because the VA would not.
This was not luxury items this was wheelchairs for guys who could not walk.
I am glad for people who have had good experience with the VA. Mine, on behalf of my husband has been, to put it bluntly, cruddy.
Very sad. RIP.
Maybe because he didn’t arrive to the ER by ambulance? We had a veteran show up to the VA hospital in Seattle with a broken ankle and they turned him away because of that. So he went to his car in the parking lot and called the ambulance.
Plenty of money to pay Iran for extortion.
One of the “worst” VA facilities is here in Reno. Many report excellent care, many more report terrible service and care. There are several factors in the reporting by individuals; the first appears to be expectations about what they should receive and an apparent unwillingness to study and understand how the system works. A group of concerned citizens is working to set up private support for vets staffed by people that have successfully dealt with the VA. Slow going and an uphill effort.
I have never been less proud of America.
Lord, please let Trump turn us back to what we ought to be.
So awful!
