When Americans went to the polls four years ago, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) deployed 44 observers, a quarter of whom came from countries deemed by a leading democracy watchdog to be not free or partly free.
This year, the OSCE plans to send more than ten times that number and some civil rights groups in the U.S. say even that wont be enough.
Following a needs assessment visit earlier this year, the OSCEs Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) decided to send 100 long-term and 400 short-term observers to monitor the November 8 election. The former will follow the electoral process across the nation while the latter will monitor Election Day itself.

“400 short-term observers to monitor the November 8 election”
They could use ten times that many just in Philadelphia and its pinko suburbs.
I remember some states banned them last time, or tried.
All states should ban outside countries from observing their elections.
Oh. I doubt they’ll be interested in cheating by democrats
The OSCE wants to learn how to steal an election. They screwed up with Brexit. They want to see how the Democrats do it.
They must make certain that Hillary is elected president.
Just for clarity: The US and Canada are members of the OSCE organization. Guess they have a say in such matters as well. So look to the US state department if you want to complain.
From the OSCE wiki page:
“After a group of thirteen Democratic United States senators petitioned Secretary of State Colin Powell to have foreign election monitors oversee the 2004 presidential election, the State Department acquiesced, and President George W. Bush invited the OSCE to do so.”
So add the Senate to the state department mentioned above.
Disgraceful. Get the’s insulting idiots out of my country!! NWO IN ACTION!
I used to laugh about foreign observers coming to observe our elections.
I am not laughing anymore.
Last time they were astounded by the lack of voter ID and proof of citizenship to register.
Just another left-wing “global” organization that the US left sold the country to.
It was the compassionate conservative thing for Bush to do. :eyeroll:
You could blame ther Senate but “Dubya” should have told them to pound sand.
For every non-America “observer” America needs to assign an American Observer to them. Isuggest recruiting from Motorcycle Clubs.
There are too many of such organizations...a lot cloaked in obscurity...chiseling away at freedom.
In Texas, a poll watcher has to be a qualified voter in the county in which the election takes place. That means one must be a US citizen, resident of the county, and registered to vite at least 30 days prior to the election.
If you encounter one of these gentlemen at your polling place, be sure to go out of your way to make them feel...{ahem}....welcome.
Weren’t these observers shocked last time by the lack of voter identification procedures?
That’s the law in almost all places. Not sure what they did in 2012. Probably political parties sponsored guest observers who had no official poll-watching duties or powers. Even so, plenty of states would not seem to allow even that much.
Interestingly, at my polling place last year, signs went up for the very first time prohibiting the use of cell phone cameras on the premises.
Hmmmmm............
