Donald Trump is going to be elected president. The American people voted for him a long time ago.

Huffington Post?
Stupid “reasoning” (or in this case, non-reasoning) for this piece.
Making stupid observations of how tv programming changes does not mean the ‘coarse’ Trump will win.
If I ever want to write on HuffPo, here it is -
The same stupid argument could be made about Obama winning twice, how’s that Mr. author? [In your face!]
“Well, hes right about one thing (and probably only one thing) - we dont watch the PBS News Hour.”
My personal litmus test that will validate this country is on a recovery glide path is when PBS and NPR are finally removed from the government payroll and made to sink or swim as private entities. If this is done, then the Republic may be saved; and not before.
HILLARY Clinton is a murderer and a lying sack of crap.
In a perfect world Trump would have never entered the race.
Unfortunately, the democRATS do not play by Marquis of Queensbury Rules. They fight dirty, they lie, and otherwise are disreputable. Thus you cannot have an honest discussion with them about anything.
This leads us to Trump. Who will fight the fight on whatever terms the democRATS present, with the full intention of winning. The GOPe like Yeb! will not. Romney did not, and neither did Juan McAmnesty.
And THAT is why we support Trump.
“In a perfect world Trump would have never entered the race.”
For many reason, I can agree to that. Trump is the fighter we need now, but we should have never needed such a fighter.
What constitutes a “legitimate outlet” these days?
I dropped tv in ‘95. A low quality diversion in a busy life.
Why? If you are referring to TV news and propaganda then don't watch those channels. That is what I do. There is a channel selection control on my remote control which allows me to select what I watch.
That’s one of the reasons I joined FR (needed something to do in the evenings)
What a trashy article. Something should be done to author of that article for putting out infectious, dishonest, hyperventilating meth consumption-type of writing. I don’t believe he is going to win, but this stuff is beyond the pale. If he were to lose, then they’re going to be gushing all over the place saying that, THEY, the media, saved the country just like the men of Sodom and Gomorrah saved themselves. I can not believe the level of evil to which journalists have sunk.
All the rest is just the usual NY Times elitist bolshevik pablum.
However the author demeans the reason, upshot is this hardcore Leftist concedes Trump will win - and did so by building a winning brand starting decades ago.
My point is, that if we had republican politicians who fought and campaigned in the same manner as demcoRATS Trump would have never gotten into the race. He wouldn’t have needed to, wouldn’t have wanted to.
When Trump got in, I believe that he felt like he had to, to save the nation from the likes of the Bush clan, Romney wannbes etc. It was not an ego thing. It was a case of patriotism.
Michael, I think if you tried just a LITTLE bit harder, you could climb to nearly the top of asymptote of the elitism scale, PROBABLY even setting a new Guinness Book of World Records for the top elitist in the known universe.
This article is a monument to its authors smug phonyness.
absolutely...though he is correct about the decay on the TV channels, for which he gets a tepid thumbs up from me...
TLC is probably the junkiest stuff ever produced, but women seem to love it...
I have had nothing but broadband internet for over 4-5 years....cable?....for what?....you can find it all all line since the idiots got rid of free broadcast via VHF/UHF...digitized...and all for free. I even commented on how I watch everything and quite a few freepers contacted me and found out....its not science it is the web. Huffington post commenters are complete fools....never read so many ignorant comments ever.
First, if Cankles is a better politician, that’s the best reason to vote for Trump. Professional politicians got us into this cesspool.
Second, people don’t want to watch the PBS News Hour and shows about sad things and people because it’s BORING. We live in this world. We know how bad it is. TV if for entertainment. We don’t want to watch something for entertainment that depresses us, and even John McLaughlin recently checked out. So much for verbal sparring.
Liberalism has for decades been about wringing their hands bloody over the terrifying / horrifying / shameful / avoidable (name situation here). They produce these shows and n one watches them So they get left to PBS where, again,(almost) no one watches them.
I’ve dated people who only watch PBS. They are generally the saddest, most dull people I’ve ever met. None of them lasted more than three dates.
This article is more about the horrible / shameful / awful / tragic fact that no one watches shoes about sad, pathetic situations, the inference being that the networks should show more of their hand wringing liberal tripe.
The problem is that to keep the news departments open (they all lose money) they have to show entertainment that people WANT to watch.
There’s a reason that people aren’t clamoring for the phone to donate at the $240 a year level for the John Tesh CD, the tote bag and the coffee mug that says “I got depressed to the point where I almost tried to take my own life by PBS last night”.
I’d write more, but “Dating Naked” is on.
and unofficial plastic screen overlay upon which to draw ropes & ladders to help Winky-Dink pull himself out of trouble.
holy crap; Winky-Dink and the plastic overlay...memories flooding back which I forgot I even had...
