Tea Party firebrand Michele Bachmann says she is advising Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump on foreign policy.
The former Minnesota House representative attended a fundraiser in the state for Trump on Saturday, where she revealed to the press that she has his ear on foreign policy.
He also recognizes there is a threat around the world, not just here in Minnesota, of radical Islam, she said, according to MPR. I wish our President Obama also understood the threat of radical Islam and took it seriously.
Hes a common-sense guy, not into political correctness, Bachmann added, according to the Star Tribune.
Bachmann is already part of Trumps Evangelical Advisory Board, providing support to Trump on issues important to Evangelicals and other people of faith in America.
Bachmann, who has yet to officially endorse Trump, launched an unsuccessful presidential bid in 2012.

She upset a lot of leftists pointing out the infiltration of Muslim brotherhood into the US government.
Yup.
Nothing, except they were assigned a role to play for the GOPe, same way Bachmann pinchhitted for Mitt in '12 against Palin's entry into the race.
There were the same attacks on Ted Cruz for the same grandstanding for "Tea Party Values"
Neither Bachmann nor Cruz accomplished ANYTHING with their fake Tea Party drama except enabling Obama.
Tea Party Grandstanding = Impotency (P.S. Don't forget Bachmann came in on W's coattails in '06, handpicked by Rove -- and contrast how Rove treated Bachmann compared to how the Bushies trashed Katherine Harris in EVERY way possible because she was not controlled by them.)
“Wasnt she one of the first to warn about the Muslim Brotherhood connections in this regime?”
THE first one. She is great. I’d take her over her silly detractors at FreeRepublic any day of the week.
She is hardly a ‘flake’ and by no means inarticulate.
It is absolutely and insanely ridiculous for some here to imply she was a ‘fake’ Tea Party member. She was doing Tea Party stuff in MN before there was a Tea Party. Anti-tax rallies and such, often in cahoots with Jason Lewis - a great radio personality (local and Rush sub) and author now running for Congress in MN.
Again, grandstanding for Conservative and Tea Party values equals impotency whether you are GOPe Cruz or GOPe Bachmann.
Nice sentiment. She never did anything about it. Her GOPe handlers wouldn’t let her.
No Bachmann was shot down by Tea Partiers and re-gamed herself with the impotent Tea Party Caucus as soon as she could. (And for a laugh, don’t forget Paul Ryan was “Tea Party” too at one point. LOL!)
She’s a Rove GOPe shill to doppleganger Palin out of the arena.
Her RoveGOPE handlers must be nervous with Bannon in Trump’s camp because of Bannon’s close ties to Palin.
I can’t put my finger on it, so I won’t make a recommendaton regarding Bachmann. What I will do is explain how I view people in general, the process I use. Then I’ll explain what my view of Michelle is now. People can then compare their impression to mine.
Impression is what I would call it. I try to keep my eye on people. At one point I backed Bachmann because I didn’t see anyone one else left and she seemed pretty solid.
As is often the case, once candidates leave the limelight, they make some comments that are news to you, change your view of them.
My current view of Bachmann is less than middle road. I believe at one point she made a few comments that soured my support for her. I don’t remember specifically what it was.
There are comments that folks can make on one subject, that let you know they weren’t really solid on other policies. They couldn’t have been, if they have this view on this topic.
At any rate, that’s my take on her for what it’s worth. Others can identify with that or not. Other can come along and remind me of what it might have been that soured me on her.
I’m not trying to get people to adopt my view without reason. I just wanted to put it out there for comparison.
“Bachmann, who has yet to officially endorse Trump, launched an unsuccessful presidential bid in 2012.”
Call me crazy, but maybe she should “officially endorse Trump” one of these days.
When I was researching Cruz’ Dominionism Theology, her name and Rick Perry’s name often appeared on the resultant websites and articles. (Mitt Romney’s, too, IIRC, even though he’s a Mormon.) With her name connected to Cruz, I’m suspicious if she’s advising Trump.
She is probably a religious fanatic who wants to make war on Iran.
“Shes a Rove GOPe shill to doppleganger Palin out of the arena.”
Good grief. And people say MB is a whack job.
LOL, new to the GOPe Uniparty arena, are you?
Or are you just stuck in the year 2005?
I am no religious fanatic, but I think we should make war on Iran now on our terms instead of waiting until it is on theirs. Just my .02, but conflict with them appears inevitable to me. I would knock them down because they have said over and over that they will knock us down.
No talk - just fight and get it over with. They deserve it because most of our casualties in Iraq can be laid at their feet.
Your instincts and Dominionist N.A.R. research are SPOT ON.
Bachmann ran interference for GOPe Mitt Romney-care in ‘12 by entering the race herself in January of ‘11...
... her Rove Bushy handlers needed to staunch a Palin run for the White House by doppleganging her with Bachmann.
GOPe tool.
Background noise. The meeeee too is in full swing.
Trump has the advice of some far better than My Bell Backmann.
“but conflict with them appears inevitable to me”
“...new to the GOPe Uniparty arena, are you?”
Nope. I just prefer maturity and reason to silly name-calling and tired conspiracy theories.
Judging by this site alone, our side is as batty as the other.
Nobody is perfect and our current nominee is as flawed or more so than most. But I’m voting for him because there is no mature alternative.
By the way, yes Paul Ryan went sour. No question. But he came to DC as the Donald Trump of entitlement reform. Brave and full of ideas to get the feds out of the biz of distributing my earnings. A cause at least as vital as the immigration stuff. He failed, obviously. And has gone down hill since.
Trump is already wobbling on immigration. Pray he stands firmer and longer than did Ryan. And realize that the reason Ryan dislikes Trump so much is because Trump ALREADY has taken the enemy’s side on entitlements.
To Ryan, The Donald is the Obama 3rd term regarding entitlement reform. Ryan had made headway within the party, but the leaders totally wimped out when it came to taking on Obama - instead they went with the wait-till-we-win-the-White-House strategy. Then comes along a populist (as opposed to conservative) to win the GOP pre-season this cycle. Thus crushing the mis-guided wait-til... strategy.
It’s not a crime to recognize the good that otherwise flawed politicians (all of them, Trump included) might have once accomplished or at least stood for at one time.
It is a crying shame both Trump and Ryan are not more reasonable. Ryan’s original number one goal of entitlement reform and Trump’s later top goal regarding immigration are both valid and worthy. And the two goals are so dang complimentary that it seems unreal they can’t cooperate and accomplish both.
DITTO!
