No you shouldn’t own one. You should own several
You can get a lower receiver for as little as $60 (call your local dealers and ask) and a kit for as little as $400 from CDNN sports.

The author made several mistakes like that.
Not according to that sissy liberal reporter who claimed it bruised his shoulder and gave him PTSD.
Like the others say, get an AR-15 in .223/5.56 NATO (they are virtually the same cartridge and ar inter changeable) My daughter started shooting mine when she was 9. There are videos of a 6 year old girl shooting one with no problem.
Cuba,,,
Nicest weather, I hear.
Ruger has a New .22 revolver,,,
GP 100,,I think.
VERY NICE!
Only if you aren’t man enough to handle a Garand. :)
Should you own an AR-15? No, you should own several. Hubby and I each got one for Father’s day this year (I got the tricked out one)
Hey, what's a gal getting an AR on FATHER'S Day for, it ain't right! :-)
There's a trouble-maker in every crowd :-)
AR’s are like legos. If you don’t like something on your rifle, replace it. Stocks, barrel lengths/configurations, hand guards, triggers, optics, BUIS, metal or poly lowers, piston modifications, complete uppers, caliber conversions...if you’ve got the money, you can have it on your rifle.
The ability to shoot calibers from .22LR to .50BMG by swapping uppers maintaining the same controls...what’s not to like? Or so I’ve read.
I bought a mini-30 about 25 years ago. Never felt the need for an AR or any other souped up 22.
Lather rinse repeat, but there is no need to lather rinse repeat, it’s done. Short and Wimpy
It was on sale and he didn’t get me a Mother’s day gift.
BTW, I may be a girl but I am a gun nut and reload/handload my own ammo. Once voted best armed Freeperette too.
The PSA Freedom mid-length stainless upper is a sweetheart. One needn’t look much further on that score. Add on accessories as necessary but for the basic rifle upper it is hard to beat.
bttt
Ah, had an HK91, so glad a buddy wanted it. Never liked the roller action. In .308 it had a nasty recoil for a semiauto. A bitch to clean the chamber, and the blowback made sure it was dirty.
Bought that upper without BCG for $189 shipped, as I had a pile of AR stuff to almost complete a build.
