The Talk Shows
Aug 21st, 2016
Guests to be interviewed today on major television talk shows:
FOX NEWS SUNDAY (Fox Network): Kellyanne Conway, campaign manager for Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump; Sen. Ben Cardin, D-Md.
MEET THE PRESS (NBC): Pre-empted for coverage of the 2016 Olympic Games.
FACE THE NATION (CBS): Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus; Robby Mook, campaign manager for Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton; Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Ala.
THIS WEEK (ABC): Conway, Priebus, Mook; Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein.
STATE OF THE UNION (CNN): Conway, Mook; Gov. John Bel Edwards, D-La.
I don’t want to turn the Sunday thread into a religious thread or argument, but you mentioned something that always bothered me.
Forget for a moment the people who only go to church/services/mass infrequently, but concentrating on those who go to everyone and therefore show at least their dedication...
Aren’t all these churches Christian? I mean seriously, they are all firm believers in Jesus, or why would they bother? So what need does a Priest have to convert a person to Catholicism, or a Pastor to convert someone to Baptist rites? The primary thing is they believe Jesus us Savior and Lord, and simply worship Him in different ways.
Otherwise, I start getting cynical. Maybe someone has an ego and sees a big flock as some kind of bragging right. Or maybe it’s all about the collection plate Benjamins?
I had a priest who, when I grudging told him my daughter was going to Baptist services with my Baptist preacher father-in-law say, “Well that’s good. The Baptists are great believers in our Lord.” And my Baptist preacher father-in-law has no problems with accepting my Roman Catholic Church as Christian and my daughter still goes to Mass and even serves as alter girl. She loves to help out!
I don’t know, but just consider that God and Jesus is just happy that a believer BELIEVES, you know? I wish the entire body of Christians of the world would accept that everyone who believes this is first and foremost a Christian, and THEN a Catholic, Baptist or Orthodox rites, whatever. We are all brothers and sisters in Christ.
That’s why I do not get on the religious threads. So much hatred and bickering about so many trivial things and ignoring the BIG question: Do you believe Jesus is Savior and Lord?
Anyway, forget the religious wars among Christians and just be there to worship, learn and help. That’s what really matters!
Great synopsis.
Bash or Trapper, what difference does it make? LoL
Kellyanne did an awesome job at not taking the bait on Hitlery’s private life.
Watch out for the trees, FRiend!
They’re really sneaky!
Dana Bash has the smirk down cold. He never said he would have a deportation force only that they would be go back. The soundbite never said deportation force. Isn’t ICE supposed to be a deportation force?
Anyway, forget the religious wars among Christians and just be there to worship, learn and help. Thats what really matters!
Amen, Brother Babylon.
Kellyanne was a brilliant choice for his campaign. She is extremely articulate and does not get flustered no matter how hard they try to corner her.
And I don't know about everyone, but simply following the damn laws they put in place is something I EXPECT from my government!
I don't hate Mexicans or immigrants at all. But I absolutely distain those who sneak in, because they did it on purpose. Nobody "accidently" stumbles across the border or "forgets" to get back on the plane home. It's a deliberate spitting into the American eye.
You wanna come work and live here?
"Here's an application. We'll let you know." Said by the country who lets in more legal immigrants than any other in the world.
Well actually AB, your words are exactly how I think.
At first, I dunno, the Pastor was being nice, at the behest of my friend.
But yeah....he seems to have an animosity to the church and no matter that a lot of it is ceremony, the Catholic church is still a CHRISTIAN church and despite what Pastor Munro says....WE DO READ FROM THE BIBLE!
Protestants seem to think that Catholics never read the bible.
I suspect that this Pastor wants to convert me but again, come on, I am only one person, and hardly rich. There is the music thing and this whole story began with the big Baptist vs. Catholic music war and yeah, you should smile, Father Tom jumped in the fray and assured me that St. Jude’s too would have songbooks in all the pews and....
Heh. Well go to hell.
In the end it is my decision and you’re so right, to my complete confusion.....aren’t they all Christian? Don’t they teach to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior?
Meanwhile I shall go to the Baptist services with beautiful granddaughter and keep to my beloved Catholicism for my own worship.
Oh, so you're a comedian as well as a great writer?
I was listening, not watching. Sometimes I watch the chunky crew, Keilar, Baldwin, Burnett - that bunch has "smirk" down to a science.
-- He never said he would have a deportation force only that they would be go back. The soundbite never said deportation force. --
Well then, maybe Trump is pondering even more aggressive deportation action than he spoke of in the past, because "deportation force" is TBD.
CNN, like the rest of the press, shows their intended story by the composition of the questions. Fiction as news. Great gig, if you can get it.
Gorgeous weather here this morning, and now I am finally hungry. Off to play and enjoy the day.
Kellyanne nailed the cheating husband question. Brought her mother into the question and said many woman made another decision rather than staying with a cheating husband.
I am in agreement. proselytizing Vs evangelism. Conversion is the movement from nonbeliever(atheist, Buddhist , Hindu. Muslim) to believer to any of the faith groups. Movement from one to the other and especially active recruitment to me is proselytizing
” Dana Bash has the smirk down cold. He never said he would have a deportation force only that they would be go back.”
The great general and President Dwight Eisenhower not only had a “deportation force”, it was called Operation Wetback and it was run by his pal General Jumping Joe Swing.
Once it became obvious that Eisenhower was serious about enforcing the law and shipping people back to their own countries they began leaving on their own.
Would Dana smirk at that as well?

.................................
Story is about the hildabeast donning her best rug pantsuit to attend Bubbas 70th birthday party. Which is in actuality a 100k per person fund raiser that she came to by plane. All 20 miles.Only the elite take a jet 20 miles while other mortals take a limo, not good enough for the beast.
Meanwhile zero is playing golf and the Donald is taking a tractor trailer donw to Louisiana for those 40,000 who lost everything.
.............................
Hopefully, Donald will get my message I gave to the Trump rep. from South Florida about the Cajun Navy last night.I saw him and 200 others at our annual Reagan Day Fund raiser for the Keys.
Featured speakers were our own Florida House Rep.Holly Raschein,Our Florida Senator from the Florida Senate Anitere Flores,Our House Rep. from dc Carlos Curbelo,Florida's Lt. Att. Gen. Carlos Lopez Cantera, and featured speaker Marco Rubio our Florida Senator.
I got a chance to chat with Marco about one of our key issues down here fresh water to Florida Bay.He was really up on the topic which was encouraging to me.
It's obvious with five reps from one end of the spectrum to the other it's impossible to agree with every view from every rep.But as Reagan said :
"The person who agrees with you 80 percent of the time is a friend and an ally not a 20 percent traitor
Unfortunately 80% is very difficult to achieve nowadays. But if we don't come together,as does the left, in time of need to oppose the communists who threaten to destroy everything we have worked for all our lives and those of our forefathers we will lose the war.
The night did belong to Rubio who gave a stellar speech based on Ronald Reagan's theory and practice. It was spell binding and he did get a standing ovation. Only other one to get the same was our local Rep. Holly Raschein who is home grown, well loved and respected by all.
We did send a message of sorts to a few in attendance who have not embraced Trump as well as they should yet still ask for our support.
We had 90 Trump stickers passed out to many of us who proudly wore them in front of everyone just to get the message across that we will support them but they dam well better support Trump if they want our support.
I think they go it.
You can make that the three of us. Include me too.
ALWAYS misspell your opponent’s name.
Apparently the new email releases are just from a Rightwing group so the media should back off. Watch them heel and ignore the obvious bribes.
I say all the prayers with them, really mean it, sing all the songs and enjoy myself. We're all in this Jesus thing together.
Allah is Satan, however. Jesus said He is the Light, the Truth and the Way. He said no one comes to the Father except though Him. So then why, 600 years later, would God need a prophet? Jesus fulfilled the Law.
Satan needed a Prophet, and a bloodthirsty one at that. God did not—he is/was Jesus.
As Jesus said, “By their fruits you shall know them.”
I see the fruits of Islam are repression, hatred, death, punishment and anger. Some fruits! Consider who in the Bible that could be...
Could it be, Satan!?
The only POTUS candidate on TV this a.m. is Jill Stein! Kind of funny/sad.
Hi RG,
Thanks for posting - good article!
Just popping in quickly as I have to get ready and catch a ferry.
Maria B’s show coming up on Fox News Channel top of the hour here - Newt, Eric Trump, Marsha Blackburn and others will be on - sounds like it might be a good show.
