The only way for Republican candidates to compete for black votes is to make promises that a candidate can keep. Jack Kemp’s urban renewal approach didn’t work very well, so the only thing left is to exploit a simmering issue that hasn’t gotten a lot of attention: the threat that illegal immigrants represent to the black working class. Donald Trump is the only GOP candidate who has any credibility on this issue because the Beltway GOP has been an open-borders institution for years.

Trump's rising appeal in Black neighborhoods, is not just from his stands on immigration. Ending the Obamanist war on local Police, will lead to greatly increased public safety in those neighborhoods; particularly when Trump uses the bully pulpit to demand respect for the men in blue; while appointing Conservative Judges, who will restore the traditional respect for law & order.

This is a natural benefit from having a not PC candidate, who is willing to acknowledge & address the real problems of real people.

Baby steps. DJT will never get half of the black vote this election. But if he peels off enough, he wins. Then the game becomes delivery.

I think repeatedly pounding the stats from ‘rat infested cities helps. Don’t you want better?

And here is the indirect effect: this changes the game on the white side of the ledger as well.
