Paul Manafort, Donald Trump’s campaign chairman, resigned from the campaign on Friday, according to Fox News.

“This morning Paul Manafort offered, and I accepted, his resignation from the campaign. I am very appreciative for his great work in helping to get us where we are today, and in particular his work guiding us through the delegate and convention process. Paul is a true professional and I wish him the greatest success,” Trump stated in a press release on Friday.

Manafort was not very good on the TV news shows. Kelly Anne will be much better.

The only campaigns we have ever known have been run by and for political insiders and politicians. Mr. Trump is running his own campaign from the perspective of a political outsider who is also an extraordinarily successful businessman. IMO, of course.

As I recall Trump had some problems with delegate organization all the way through to the convention. Whether that is on Manafort or he was brought in too late I don’t know.

A goodly portion of the public are no longer paying much attention to the hack media.

Trumps got them tagged as liars and it stuck.

I could say everyone I talk to is sick and tired of it, but that wouldnt be any surprise.

Its all comming down to the election day now. Trump is starting to come out with the TV adds.

Fully agree, Manafort helped secure the nomination, which he successfully did, onward and upward to President Donald J. Trump.

I’ve never seen the media try and convict someone like this and the funny thing is, he never was paid any of the Russian money from that list, it was just a list, like a want list. Sheesh

This is the first proof-positive that Trump might be in trouble, and I am a Trump fanatic.

I think the first proof positive is the current polls, Trump is down in most swing states he must have. Bush's old press secretary from the FIVE was on BOR last night, like her or hate her she is right, Trump is down in the polls. It's not too late, his last 3 speeches were great, he needs to raise gazillions and advertise and he needs to do great in the debates. But, he needs to make up ground.

I don’t think so.

I think that the Ukraine connection was used against Manafort and then he was gone.

Did the Ukraine connection appear as a media talking point before or after the announcement about Kelly Ann Conway?

"I get very worried when there are campaign reorgs. Those usually happen before defeats."

I agree. And given the deep intertwining of the DNC with Cankles campaign from the get-go (like, 1992), therefore the DNC mass firings of their Chairface, CEO, COO, and media horn, bodes ill for Cankles chances.

OK, thanks.

I recognized Paul Manafort and the late, great Lee Atwater, but I didn’t recognize Roger Stone.

Manafort did what he needed to do. Namely get Trump nominated without problems at the convention.

Here was a tweet of his this AM, so Kellyanne apparently hasn't taken away the keys to his twitter account: Donald J. Trump ‏@realDonaldTrump 4h4 hours ago The reporting at the failing @nytimes gets worse and worse by the day. Fortunately, it is a dying newspaper.

He did a great job.

How? By being implicated as taking money from Ukraine and embarrassing the campaign? Yeah, great.
