Must have been a lull in the wind. Didn’t seem too bad just now, though it looks like all the leaves lining the nest are piled up on and around him! LOL! The little one is growing so fast! He’ll be getting “real” feathers before long!
I haven’t noticed any lull yet but maybe it did while I was reading some news. It’s whipping right now. Someone posted earlier that the winds are around 20 mph.
Dad and Lady have brought new leaves in lately and they block the view of 17 a bit when he/she is hunkered down.
As much as that baby has been fed, it should be as big as its parents. LOL! At least Lady has finally figured out that she doesn’t need to feed so much. I was worried she’d never figure it out and the poor thing would be too fat to fly when the time comes.
I get a kick when the ravens and cockatoos start raising a ruckus. Freaks the kittehs big time. LOL!!!
20 mph?? Around here, that’s a mere breeze! LOL! Maybe that’s why I didn’t notice it so much!
They do have some birds with crazy tunes. One sounds like a person whistling a little tune. Is that the cockatoo?
Oh, yeh!
I just took a sheet of cardboard, cut about 15 1 inch squares and glued them together one at a time and slipped them under the mechanism that holds the float up. The leaking seems to be slowly coming to a stop. Seems 12 squares has the water leak stopped. It will be a pain removing the lid each time, but it works so far. d:o)
And I can go downstairs if need be, or in my Mom’s bathroom. BUT, mine is the best because it’s a tall one....extra height. So much easier on the bad knees.
It’s a breeze here, too, but it’s more than enough to make that tree sway. One of the chatters mentioned it made her feel dizzy to watch.
It’s enough to keep that lil fuzzball hunkered down today.
I don’t know what the whistler is but the cockatoos and ravens squawk. If they’re too close to the nest tree, Dad and/or Lady squawk back at them. That’s when the cats go on alert because they’re all so close to the mic.
Good night and sleep tight, fatima...((HUGS))
LOL! My cats don’t even wake up when they hear the birds squawking on the computer! I don’t know what that says about them!
I don’t blame him for hunkering down in the wing. Lady sat in a cross breeze not long ago and nearly got blown off the nest. She had to adjust her position to help keep the side wind from taking her off.
If you can figure out how to seal the leak, all you’d have to do is replace the plunger parts inside rather than replace the whole toilet. Toilet innards don’t seem to be made to last long any more, as we’ve had to replace ours a few times.
We don’t want to have to replace our toilets because they’re older ones - - not the water-saver types.
I know what you mean about the tall toilets being better. We have them in our bathrooms and if I go somewhere that has standard toilets, it’s hard to get up. And the older we get, the harder it is to stand up any way. Getting old is NOT fun!
Some of our cats don’t wake up but others go on high alert. More than one has jumped up on the desk in hopes of catching one of those birds. LOL
I was either watching when you were when Lady almost got blown off the nest or it’s happened more than once. She had her tail too much to the wind and she turned around.
17’s sitting tall now. Afternoon snack time!
And no cam op on duty. *sigh*
Good evening, Fiji...great tunes. Thanks. ((HUGS))

Well I may have spoken too soon. I went back to check and the tank was empty. So the flapper may have issues too. I pushed and pushed on it and the tank finally filled and stopped...but something is still making noise. *sigh*
((HUGS))Good morning, LUV W. How's it going?
((HUGS))Good morning, Kathy. How’s it going?
