SHOCK POLL: TRUMP’S BLACK SUPPORT GROWS 6X IN WEEK

The Los Angeles Times/USC Dornsife national tracking poll of the presidential campaign picked up a sharp uptick in African-American support for Republican nominee Donald J. Trump, which it now pegs at 14.6 percent.

When the “Daybreak” poll began July 10, Trump‘s support among black voters was 4.6 percent and he fluctuated between 5.4 percent Aug. 1 and 2.5 percent Aug. 11.

The upswing in support for Trump–more than 500 percent above his low less than a week previous–comes after the New York City developer’s address Tuesday in the Milwaukee suburb of West Bend, Wisconsin. In that speech, Trump made his most direct play for African-American support in the campaign

Well, so much for these polls!

Dana Pirino on O’Reilly factor just said that there is no way that Trump could win election because no one has every won this late in game with his negatives in polls.

She said that’s just the way it is. Sorry, she said, I cannot lie to get folks to like me. (paraphrase). She said she lied in 2012.

Then there was five minutes of sugary sweet, lovey dovey interaction between her and OReilly. I could not take it any longer and turned the channel.

They (blacks) have been fooled since at least LBJ’s Great Society began in 1967. Ask any black what group started the KKK. What party prevented blacks from going to universities in Alabama. What party stood against Civil Rights Legislation. And so on and on and on and.....

Trump is right to ask for African American votes. He should have done this sooner but now is the right time, all the way through November. Make the case; make the appeal. Say it and mean it.

Democrats have taken the African American voters for granted and not improved their communities. It's time for a Republican to stand up like a man, offer them a plan, and ask them for a chance to earn their votes.

I have said it before and I will say it again. If there ever was a moment in time for a GOP candidate to get a larger than usual share of the black vote, this is it. I know quite a few of my black friends that have never voted Republican, but they will vote for Trump. They are fed up with illegal immigration.

I want Trump to aggressively court the black vote. Speeches are great, but it takes more than that. He needs to air commercials on BET, go on interviews on black radio and campaign in as many inner cities as possible. I want to see Trump in Milwaukee, Detroit, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Cincinnati and yes...Chicago.

If he does that with his uplifting message while pointing out how the Dems have taken them for granted and made their lives miserable, he can win 20% of the black vote and easily win on Election Day.

I’m all for Trump going for black votes. Repubs should have been doing it for years now. But facts are difficult to overcome. 13% of the population is black. They vote 90% Dem. Let’s say blacks vote Trump 20%, which is generous. That’s just a couple hundred thousand votes for the US. Probably about 60% don’t even vote. I could see a scenario of just a few ten’s of thousand votes change. If Trump could get even 5-10% more women, he would win easy. Even Hispanics are bigger than the black vote. We can’t even get over 70% of registered Republicans. He needs 90% of the Repubs to even compete.

I just heard a Republican strategist on Coast to Coast talking about his book GOP GPS: How to Find the Millennials and Urban Voters the Republican Party Needs to Survive.

The young callers were actually interesting. They weren’t the Bernie Sanders type we’ve all been led to believe.

I know Trump has won over some union workers.

But I meant Trump need to specifically target the union bosses and their cozy arrangement with the Dems, most often at the expense of their own workers.

Make it an open rebellion between the union bosses and their members in no uncertain terms.
