Several starving people forced their way in Caricuao Zoo in Caracas
They broke into a stallion's pen before butchering the horse for meat
All that was left was a pile of the horse's ribs and it head on the ground
Venzuela is in the grip of a economic crisis that has led to food shortages
Starving Venezuelans have broken into a zoo and slaughtered a horse for its meat as a crippling economic crisis has left thousands without food. It is believed several people forced their way into Caricuao Zoo in Caracas and busted the stallion's pen before butchering it. It comes as Venuzuela is in the grip of a severe economic crisis which has led to food shortages and looting in some areas.

Ah yes, Communism, Marxism, Socialism. The workers paradise. everyone is equal (equally in poverty), everyone gets free healthcare (because that is what it is worth), Free education (if you call marxist propaganda ‘education’),,,
Why does not all those Hollywood elites that went there to admire the socialist progress MOVE THERE?????!!!
I bet the horse meat was free too.
Next week; Hippo BBQ!!
Why do they put horses in zoos?
To protect them from being eaten
I read last night that Maduro is REFUSING humanitarian aid.
Pets you can eat!
I’ve said for decades that in the modern world, all famine is due to politics.
Turn that hungry lion loose in the Presidential palace and the problem takes care of itself.
Do you wonder why the situation in Venezuela is not the lead story on every major newscast? Or why it is not on the front page of every large newspaper in America? Of course not: to report it would be to admit that socialism leads to poverty for most people. The socialist does not anticipate being one of most people. He expects to be in charge. Plenty of food for those in charge.
More likely, I would say, that people ballsy enough to do this killed and slaughtered the horse for meat to sell on the black market.
Sounds like they had been living off of redistribution of oil income.
Which worked fine until Saudi Arabia put its oil on fire sale.
They aren’t even set up for capitalism as such.
Feel the Bern?

See? Things aren’t so bad here. At least we didn’t eat Harambe!
That's right -- it's an "economic crisis." It came out of
no where. Probably it was just floating around in the
atmosphere and just happened to settle down on Venezuela.
Or perhaps it came from outer space and attacked Venezuela
like some monster from a 1950's Sci-Fi B movie.
Don't mention that a communist/socialist incompetent, thieving,
oppressive government grabbed power and is the source
of all the current misery in that country.
“Since when are horses so exotic in Brazil that they need to be in a zoo?”
Well, if they broke into a zoo to get this one, it only stands to reason that all the other less-secure horses would have been eaten first...

I know you are being rhetorical, but of course not. Venezuela just didn't do Socialism right. Give them a chance - it'll work this time.
Ha...never leave a severed horse head to waste
I am sure there is someone in the local administration that needs a night time companion.
As for the ribs....a set of horse ribs makes a nutritious soup that will feed half a village.
Maybe just not knowledgeable enough about all the edible parts. American Indians considered buffalo tongue a delicacy - lots of valuable fat. But then, they worked a lot harder for a living than most of us.
When Communists get desperate for food; they eat what is
at hand. - We live in the country. In the 30 yrs. we’ve
lived here; we have never killed any of the numerous deer
on our place. So, they are accustomed to having free reign.
Now, if Hillary’s selected; all bets are off. We’ve stored
some food and we don’t eat fancy - but the deer out here
had better hope TRUMP’S elected. Even our neighbors who
have not stored anything will be stalking them.
