Target Corp. said it will spend $20 million to add a private bathroom to each of its stores by next year, following customer protests over its policy allowing transgender individuals to use whichever restroom corresponds with their gender identity.
Target’s finance chief Cathy Smith said the move is a response to feedback from customers voicing displeasure over the company’s bathroom policy. She added the customer discontent hadn’t had a “material impact” on sales. CEO Brian Cornell had promised to roll out family restrooms earlier this year and defended the company’s stance on diversity.
Protests started at Target stores after the retailer announced in April that it welcomed transgender employees and guests to use the restroom or fitting room that corresponded with their gender identity. “Everyone deserves to feel they belong,” the company wrote on its website.

I will never set foot in a Target no matter what they do. My beef with this is they would not allow Salvation Army Bell ringers a holiday staple outside the stores. IF you can’t recognize that the salvation army does not make money but gives all this to the poor...then poor me does not shop in your stores....Walmart on the other hand has Salvation army bell ringers outside of each entrance!

I will still not step one foot into their stores until they publicly reverse their policy and acknowledge that one’s sex (gender) is a biological fact and not the product of one’s imagination.

Usually just 1 - enough to cater to the tiny minority of those confused about what’s between their legs. Now they’re going to build a couple more, as if that’s going to supply the demand for gender-segregated-for-a-reason-throughout-history egestion facilities.
Instead of “dicks go in the men’s room, no-dicks go in the women’s room, confused go in the single-occupant room”, Target is now saying “go where you want, but if you think objective genitalia matters then stand in line for the single-occupant room - don’t worry, we’ll build another 1-2 to shorten the line.”
Beat me to the call! Material impact? No, more like a loss that couldn’t be ignored. Why else would they spend $20 million? None of my money will go toward the $20 million!

My target is VERY new with a transgender bathroom in it I STILL will not darken their door EVER!!!!! These DAMNED businesses NEED to keep their pie holes shut and just do business!!!
