There was a police shooting of an armed man on Friday afternoon in Milwaukee and people gathered to protest the death of the man which catapulted the city into chaos. After a standoff between police and the angry crowd for a few hours, things escalated and soon cars, businesses, and even a gas station were set on fire to protest the shooting.
The Milwaukee Police News gives the details of the initial shooting that started the rage:
The incident began when two uniformed MPD officers stopped two suspects in a car in the 3200 block of N. 44th Street at about 3:30 p.m. on August 13. Shortly after stopping the suspects, both occupants fled from the car on foot. The officers pursued the suspects, and during the foot pursuit one officer shot one suspect, armed with a semiautomatic handgun, in a yard also in the 3200 block of N. 44th Street. The suspect died from his injuries at the scene.
The suspect is a 23-year-old Milwaukee man with lengthy arrest record. The handgun he was armed with was taken in a burglary in Waukesha in March of this year. The victim of that burglary reported 500 rounds of ammunition were also stolen with the handgun.
The officer is a 24-year-old, male, assigned to MPDs District 7. He has six years of service with MPD, three years as an officer. He was not injured and, as is standard practice, will be placed on administrative duty during the investigation and subsequent review by the Milwaukee County District Attorneys Office.

So now the police cannot defend themselves at all. Nice.
I don’t know how much play it will get because people are no longer shocked by it. One thing about the Milwaukee riot last night was the amount of participant video - that was very telling. Hard to watch those videos and feel sympathetic to the participants when you actually hear what they are saying.
I would say the facebook videos and livestreams I watched would shock people. I wish those would get more play, but they don’t fit the MSM narrative or that of the White House.
“I’m not seeing this getting a lot of play outside of our state”
Harms the Democrat Current Truth narratives.
Harms the Podesta/MediaMatters-approved Hillary narratives.
Helps reinforce TRUMP narratives.
This is going to be as buried and locked away as the Mainstream Media can make it.
“The suspect is a 23-year-old Milwaukee man with lengthy arrest record.”
How else he gwine ta git he stuff?
"A night of violent protest"??
Is this the new way of saying violent criminals rioting, committing wholesale arson and mayhem?
Trump for President.
Don’t know why that wasn’t my first thought, but it wasn’t.
I’ve been around long enough to know this stuff!
The president, the former SecState, the AG, the head of the FBI and so many more Feds support these people and they’re all flagrant criminals themselves so maybe ...
I lost my train of thought, where was I going with that?
National Guard has been activated. At the ready, not on the streets. Probably for tonight if needed.

Hey Odungo, why ain’t you here having a drug and beer summit?
Thanks Diana, glad you live in the countryside.
At the ready, but not on the streets? How stupid is that? Law enforcement should have showed up and opened up on these violent criminals with the rubber rounds. And if that didn’t work, break out the real stuff. No joke. There would be zero need for the NG.
In my personal opinion, these riots were NOT an indication of PROTEST of the police shooting an ARMED man. I don’t think any rioter gave a damn.
I believe they justified shooting as a HANDY EXCUSE to conduct a riot and burn up a few of “whitey’s” businesses and a couple of police cars. In their twisted mind, being able to blame their crime on someone else is a real ‘gimme.”
What I’m waiting for is a long line of protestors marching to show their anger at the number of black youths killed in all of oour big cities on a weekly basis. Probably there will be 7 inches of snow in Miami before the first “MARCH OF GRIEF” occurs,
The City of Milwaukee is apparently Dead-On-Its-A$$.
It’s August after all, the riot season.
