The former director of the Defense Intelligence Agency says the United States must get serious about defeating radical Islam, and hes laying out a plan to do it a plan he says is dependent upon GOP nominee Donald Trump winning the White House in November.
Retired U.S. Army Lt. Gen. Michael T. Flynn is a frequent cable news contributor, and he spoke on behalf of Trump last month at the Republican National Convention. He is also author of The Field of Fight: How We Can Win the Global War on Radical Islam and Its Allies.
In his book, Flynn said its long past time for the U.S. to stop participating in the war against radical Islam and start winning it. He believes America is just spinning its wheels while ISIS and other enemies pursue an announced, strategic campaign against the West.
We totally have lacked imagination, and weve forgotten how to win, actually, Flynn told WND and Radio America. And we have to stop being politically correct about this enemy. We have to clearly define it.
He said thats something President Obama and subordinates like Hillary Clinton refuse to do.
Number one is to clearly define the enemy, and thats something our current government and current president do not allow us to do, Flynn said.
But what needs to be done to define radical Islamic enemies that has not already been done?
We have to discredit this ideology, this radical Islamist ideology, for what it is, Flynn explained. We have to call it what it is, and we have to begin to come up with a very imaginative, very creative information campaign to discredit it.

Best analysis of the neocon/globullist/Bush/Obama "strategy" to date.
Number one is to clearly define the enemy
Sounds like Flynn is a student of Andy Marshall.
That is what the "radical fundamentalists" want you and everyone else to believe. If you define 1.6 billion people as the enemy you are going to lose. Where do you start?
The truth is the truth - you would know it for yourself if:
You read the history of the rise of Islam (the near total destruction of classical Christianity and western civilization, the total and absolute destruction of the world’s grain basket in North Africa by the Founder and his Disciples);
If you read the sunnahs and hadiths: Talibari, Muslim, Isaq, and Bukhari so you could know the life and deeds of the Founder and what the founder actually meant;
Which suras are voided and;
How to follow in the Founder’s footsteps.
You start by destroying it all - else become a dhimmi or convert now and save yourself the trouble later. It is literally them or us there is no middle ground now and has never been any. Give no quarter and take none.
The people are not the enemy, it is the ideology they hold which has certain symbols and which without the ideology crumbles - Islam is nothing like Christianity - do not fall into that Islamic trap.
If Trump gets elected, can he make him the General in charge of getting rid of ISIS?
Do you believe Islam is the worst enemy we can face? When everyone else is looking in that direction, you might want to swivel your head round to see if some other guy is rising up, appearing to be the solution.
Barack Obama is a greater enemy to America than Islam, perhaps even radical Islam
“Islam cannot be discredited, except by destroying the very places it holds most dear, where they believe the spirit of allah resides: Median, Mecca and the Kaaba.”
Old-fashioned solution:
After months of internet chatter from the same Iranian zealot group that attacked the Grand Mosque in 1979(?), a nuclear blast removes Mecca, its idols, and most everything else. All evidence points to Iran. The USA issues a strongly worded note and threatens to suspend ransom payments if this happens again. KSA declares war on Iran and lets contracts to Israel for elimination of Teheran, Abadan, and Qom, plus both Koreas for the land war [variation on an old joke]. Armageddon, etc.
What you have just described is radical Islam.
Andy, there is no such thing (and never has been) as “radical Islam.” One would have to suppose there was an opposite site, a non-radical side to Islam - there is not. There is only the ‘fundamental’ that is the original Islam. It is unchanged since the Founder brought it forth; further it cannot change as the Founder said: Death to all those who make the attempt.
What you mistake for a ‘peaceful’ Islam is all the time after it was defeated and driven into ‘hiding’ for the past centuries. It is a tactic used to low the kafir into believing Islam is harmless. When the time is right they attack - after the end of the cold war, Islam perceived the west weak and began to ramp up into what we experience today. Do not be deceived by the incessant taqyyia (permitted lying in defense of Islam) put forth by CAIR and the complicit media.
And just GTH. No one is going to drop nuclear bombs on Islam.
Didn’t say you had fallen for CAIR, just beware. You cannot drop anything on an ideology ...No one will drop nukes on the kaaba yet .. in time, that is the only solution or all become a musselman as they fervently desire.
I’ve seen Flynn interviewed several times, and doing commentary, great guy. Has a very good grip on what’s actually going on, very smart. And a Democrat. Yep, he was on either Fox or Newsmax recently, and they pointed that out, he’s actually a Democrat, and supports Trump. He was also one of the people suspected of being on Trump’s VP list.
I think Trump will probably have a place for him, but I wouldn’t even guess what it might be.
I’d also like Gen Boykin in the mix.
You are no better than the writers for CNN/slimes/compost/msnbc. You are contemptible.
Well this PIF thinks he is an idiot.
You, sir, have launched an ad hominum.
And yes Flynn is a typical liberal military idiot of which I served with many.
He has a big mountain to overcome. 0bama has had 8 years to destroy and put his thugs in office.
Not only did you fail enemy identification, but you, in fact, launched the ad hominem, first against Flynn whom Obama fired because he did not like the assessments coming from DIA and then against me. In both cases you attacked us for things we did not say and positions we did not take.
