Coincidentally, last night my husband pulled a quart jar of maple syrup out of our pantry that he made with our pastor 35 years ago. (We lived on the Wisconsin/Michigan border and our pastor lived on 80 acres in rural Wisconsin. Our pastor could do anything. He even built his own canon.) He was wondering if it would still be good. Maybe you would know?

Maple syrup is prone to mold if not “canned”

If it is canned and the jar lids are intact, it is likely good

the way to tell is taste it

If not, you could turn it into jewelry.
