Early African-American intellectuals and cultural elites saw that the future of their race could not be advanced by endless protests or marches of “equality” or “justice.” It could only be done through the restoration of the trampled dignity of the black man. Great men like Marcus Garvey, W. E. B. Du Bois, and Malcolm X all knew that a people is only respected when it has a nation worthy of respect. A man who lives in a shack cannot expect to be treated with respect at a palace. They knew that for us to reclaim power we must first reclaim dignity and that this comes through the construction of a solid black state with a demonstrable level of development and prosperity–and which can stand as a powerful advocate for the global black.
Today, no such state exists.
Nigeria, the most populous black nation on Earth, is on the brink of collapse. The machineries that make a nation exist, let alone succeed, have all eroded. One might argue that the nation’s creation by self-seeking white imperialists engendered its failure from the beginning, as I did in my recent novel. But this is only a part of the cause. A culture of incompetence, endemic corruption, dignified ineptitude, and, chief among all, destructive selfishness and greed has played a major role in its unravelling. The same, sadly, can be said for most other African nations. States like Zimbabwe, Cameroon, and Equatorial Guinea are farcical democracies ruled by men who exclusively cater to their interests and those of their clipped circles.
Thus, it is no surprise that in the absence of any healthy black nation–in the midst of chaos, senseless wars, corrupted religiosity, violence, and economic collapse–African and Caribbean people leave home en masse.

Yeah sure, but obviously you could start to chop around the edges of that, kids who were given up for adoption likely come from parents below the mean, the experience of being an adopted kid (my sister was adopted) itself being different in significant ways, the influence still coming in from the wider society as a kid grows up, etc., etc. It would also be interesting to look at sample size, whether it’s been replicated, etc. Having known a number of black transracial adoptees, my anecdotal experience is certainly that there are substantial differences in average outcomes, whether that has anything to do with differentials in IQ I don’t know.
Look at the thread: the question you ask is answered - study Ancient African history. Do your own research/education stop asking others to do your work for you. It is all well documented history - just go to Amazon and look around, then order and read.
Of course Botswana isn’t a first world nation. But it’s a developing nation and is on track to be a first world nation if the trends maintain. It will probably need another 50 years of peace, stability, and freedom to develop into an industrialized nation that is on par with successful European nations.
But it does have a higher per capita GDP ($17,700) than China ($14,300), India ($6,200), or Brazil ($15,800), countries that are heavily industrialized.
Botswana more in line with Mexico ($18,500) or Bulgaria ($18,400). One of those nations has had 192 years of freedom to develop and the other has had 25 years. Botswana has had 50 years of independence, and considering the wars and waves of corruption that has swept across southern Africa, it has done well to stay peaceful, democratic, and non-corrupt. And it is paying off.
It’s not first world yet, but it is moving forward and developing. And wasn’t that what this discussion was about?
No, the book finds that IQ correlates more strongly with success in life than socio-economic advantages. For example, white kids raised in poverty and dysfunction still have higher average IQs than black kids born and raised in comfort and stability. Similarly, twin studies discussed in the book show that twins raised apart have IQs more similar to each other than non-related children with which they're raised in the same household. The book is about the primacy of IQ, a largely heritable trait.

The average increase in IQ for adopted children is a little over 4%, so that tracks. The difference between 85 and 89 is not statistically significant; however, a 90 IQ is the cutoff for average, so these children are capable of success in society. Adopted children have a much better chance of success than those who are not adopted, regardless of race.
The entire subject of transracial adoption has been infected with identity politics, so empirical data is lacking. Adopted children tend to identify with the parents’ culture and thus is considered a negative outcome by the left. From a colorblind perspective, it is net positive.

As for these former Crown Colonies; Bermuda has a population around 65,000 and the Bahamas about 380,000; all imported from Africa. Not nitpicking, but are these really nation states???
Botswana is 75% desert, suffers chronic drought and is land locked. Successful???

As for SA, disagree w/Chile and disagree emphatically w/Argentina and Uruguay. The bane of all three has been their impulse toward dictatorial rule; a condition that chronically resurrects itself throughout SA history.
In one of the ironies of history, Argentina was the 4th wealthiest nation on earth on the eve of the Great War due to its massive gold stock, as well as its thriving cattle, coal and wheat exports. But a succession of military strong men, such as Juan Peron, drove them into the economic ditch from which they have yet to recover.
And possibly the best thing the white man did was taking millions of them into the US (even as slaves), else they would have died (from disease, starvation, tribal warfare, Islamic slavery) and none or few black descendants in the US would be alive today.
As for Uruguay, I'll just post from Wikipedia (not always accurate, but a good summation paragraph):

Dictators are the bane of South America, but if this current era of them would die off, maybe the internet will prevent the takeover of media that seems to proceed a regime uprising in that part of the world.
Thanks, I’ll check it out. Men in general have been dealt a severe blow during the past 40-50 years in America by the Leftie/Feminist ideology. They have suffered disproportionately in unemployment and “higher” education. Black men have suffered even more because the Great Society welfare system made them obsolete except for being sperm donors. Many white men are continuing down that same path to nowhere. You are right - it’s the culture first, and right there with it is our rejection of God’s Rules of Love.

Yes, the recently most successful South African nations were totally uninhabited when the Europeans arrived.

travis s africa iswas established by the dutch not the native africans and owes what success is left there to them. after mandella took over as president and started taking over farms and businesses that were run by the dutch people there the farms started to fail miserably and go under as well as the businesses.
now s africa is on the decline as corruption is spreading . so no s africa can’t be counted due to the dutch making it successful . even after apartheid was done away with most blacks there still choose to live in squalor.
it is always easy to blame your problems on someone else rather than take responsibility for them and do better by applying the opportunities to ones self. blacks in this country for the most part ass far as higher education have almost endless opportunities available to them but a large portion of them would rather not apply themselves in high school so they can attend college to get the better paying jobs but would rather sit at home and let the govt take care of them.

The observations I made about the different interpretation of the facts includes critical comments by the authors, Herrnstein and Murray, commenting on interpretation in conflict with what was painfully explained in the book.
Reader critics who glanced quickly at the book and then just ran with previously prepared conclusions.
