House Speaker Paul Ryan wins primary, defeats longshot GOP challenger praised by Donald Trump.
Ryan was being challenged by Paul Nehlen.
Nehlen had been courting Trump supporters and won praise from the Republican presidential nominee last week. But Trump endorsed Ryan days later.
Ryan had largely ignored Nehlen in what had been a sleepy primary before Trump thanked Nehlen on Twitter for his comments defending Trump. Nehlen won the backing of some prominent conservative figures, including former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, but it wasn't enough to overcome Ryan's popularity in his southeastern Wisconsin district.
Ryan was first elected in 1998 and this is his first re-election win since becoming speaker last fall.
Well then, please follow Paul Nehlen's example and move to Wisconsin. We'll kick your ass, too!
Wussconsin is not liberal by upper midwest standards.
“Conservative” has no meaning. ANYONE voting for Ryan is not a conservative in the America first anti-NWO movement sense.
WUSSconsin bump.
Let me get this straight. WI-01 voted for Ryan in the primary over Nehlen. So there are two reasons to do this. You actually like Ryan pushing the GOPe’s NWO agenda or you think Nehlen would lose to the Democrat in the general. Either of those reason is humiliating and a total sellout by the WUSSconsin-01 district.
what was the final vote tally?
Has there been any complaints of voter fraud?
Wisconsin is too liberal. They think globalist Cruz is some good politician. They support the Cruz/Ryan globalism.
Mitt Romney defeated Obama in this district and voters there haven’t sent a Democrat to Congress in 24 years.
Paul Ryan has proven time and again he is playing for the other team. I was a big fan of Ryan’s up until he jumped to the dark side after losing with Romney. Sad, really. He could’ve been a contender.

Spot on. I’ve noticed the same in this very thread. I think it is quite instructive that Amnesty Ryan and Senator Cruzman Sachs share many of the same supporters. Birds of a feather...

You’re not kicking my ass. Wisconsin is kicking America’s ass enabling Amnesty Ryan’s destructive and anti-American agenda. How pathetic is that?
Nehlen was miles better than Amnesty Ryan for the simple fact he would not have had the power to advance Amnesty, TPP and the rest of the progressive agenda. Sure as you are born beltway lifer Paul Ryan can and will do that. After he gets done campaigning for Hillary Clinton of course.
I live in WI, but not in Ryan’s voting area.
I DO LOATHE HIM.
Such a little jerk.
I couldn’t listen to his speech for long, as I was heckling him too much....turned it off before I stroked out.
“Its not the voters of Wisconsin who put Paul Ryan in the Speakers chair.”
Au Contraire Germancus, he would not be speaker if he weren’t a congressman in the first place. Let’s put the blame for Ryan squarely where it should be, with the EFFING MORONS in his district. Wisconsin is another failed state.
Always has, always will. The useless cheesehead mofos.
Now for an important message to WI from Mike Ditka:
15%?? The DEMs aren’t the only one with its own ‘plantation’ flunkies.
>
The GOP needs to keep the House and the Senate folks to accomplish anything with President Trump!!!
>
BWAHAHahahahaha.
We gave the GOP Congress to STOP Zero’s reign\illegality. How’s *THAT* would out for everyone?
Point made. But try having the Senate and the House in Democrat control and see how that work out. We seen it numerous times before. Again nothing gets accomplished.
More importantly, what if Hillary wins (God forbid). Do you want the Democrats in control of the House & the Senate?

Great question to ask Paul Ryan. If you’ll notice on twitter Paul Ryan doesn’t have ONE single tweet in support of Trump. Based on that it seems Paul Ryan prefers Hillary to Trump.
