Donald Trump has hinted at the assassination of Hillary Clinton by supporters of gun rights.
The Republican nominee was speaking at a rally in Wilmington, North Carolina, about the next president’s power to appoint supreme court justices. “If she gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do, folks,” he said, adding: “Although the second amendment people – maybe there is, I don’t know.”
The second amendment to the constitution protects the right of Americans to bear arms. Trump has accused his Democratic rival of wanting to abolish it, a charge that she denies. “This is simple – what Trump is saying is dangerous,” said Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook. “A person seeking to be the president of the United States should not suggest violence in any way.”
Jason Miller, a communications adviser for the Trump campaign, attempted to explain the candidate’s comments. “It’s called the power of unification,” he said. “Second amendment people have amazing spirit and are tremendously unified, which gives them great political power. And this year, they will be voting in record numbers, and it won’t be for Hillary Clinton, it will be for Donald Trump.”

When this forum was replete with Cruz mania I was one of a handful to go against the grain and champion Trump. So I am not afraid to go against the flow. Right now I see Trump at a pivot place. He can take command of the situation or let the circumstances push him around... and right now he is on defense - whereas there is a mountain of stuff he could bury Hillary with if he just bought the media to do it with.
That is my opinion.

precious time the Trump campaign needs to start getting their narrative out.

Liars or not, the pack of curs that constitute the mainstream media is on a crusade, and picking words out of context, which is what they do best, is just one of the tools they use.
Maybe they do not think it a “lie” if there is some way they may fit these out-of-context statements into their narrative, then it becomes a seamless “whole” again.
It is of no use to try to explain away how The Donald may have originally intended to say something about the threat TO the Second Amendment, which would surely become “dead letter” after the appointments Herself would make to the Supreme Court, a distortion of jurisprudence that could remain with the territory once known as “the United States of America”, for decades into the future.
Willful ignorance on the part of the press and other media is one of the more difficult of hurdles to deal with.

I don’t think he wants to win. Every time something negative comes out about Hillary, Trump says or does some screwball remark to redirect the attention back to him, but at the expense of his polls.
