1st CD, Republican: Incumbent Paul Ryan, of Janesville, and Paul Nehlen, of Williams Bay.
I absolutely have nothing on this election, so I thought I'd start a thread, and we can add to it as information comes in. Some polls have Ryan way ahead, and a few find it less certain. On the other hand, wasn't this the climate before the Cantor election? He was sitting fat dumb and happy with a big lead in the polls?
If I were a betting man, I'd have to put my money on Ryan and by all counts, he's a very popular guy up there, but then again, so is Obama.
Ignorant & inbred for starters.
I, and I know many others were hoping that in a low turnout primary there would be enough ticked off Trump supporters to at least send Ryan a message.
Instead, tonight will give Ryan unfettered license to continue to frag Trump with an eye to 2020.
This site has been invaded by a bunch if liberals.
Might be a Freudian slip. Amnesty Paul Ryan supporters showing up in droves tonight. LOL.
Thanks for link.
You know, just the most casual scan of that R-heavy voting suggests the Don should be in there at least three times before the election...
Or maybe the district can become ground zero for Syrian refugees?? :-)
So you support McCain too?
Decision desk showing 30% of the vote in. Nehlen 3,200 votes, Ryan 17,607. Its over folks.
He is small businessman. At one time he supported and volunteered on Ryan’s campaign...But of course, Ryan betrayed him and everyone.
Nehlen is wonderful! He is conservative—smaller government, less regulations, strong borders, anti-immigration, NO TTP global trade stuff. Strong on school local control.
Would love to have him in congress :)
He is the “Anti-Ryan”
Ann Coulter among others. I believe Sarah Palin endorsed him as well. Trump of course ended up with a mild endorsement but Trump is playing a long game with many more pokers in the fire. he needed to seem into the party unity garbage.
You go to battle with the army you have not the one you want.
it is about “win, win, win” the only prize for second place is slavery.
Well, the "Trump/Palin side" has fewer RYNOs and Candadians.
wisn.com
calls it for Ryan
Ryan 19,863 or 85%
Nehlen 3,483 or 15%
Well that does it. I hope the Packers suck this year.
Well that was a squeaker. /s

Why? So the Republican Speaker of the House can snub the GOP nominee 3 more times. Forget Wisconsin. Ryan doesn’t want to win it in November. Time to move on.
He would be wonderful to have in Congress~
—he could be a Freeper ;)
He is a small businessman...wants smaller government, less regulation, lower taxes, he is anti-immigration, pro border control, pro-local school control for starters :)
With all due respect, it was over before it started. You people can post nasty remarks about it til the cows come home but Ryan is very well liked and has been a good Congressman for 18 years in the eyse of his constitutents. Who are the only ones that matter when it comes to re-electing him.
If you don’t like his influence as Speaker, take it up with the 236 Republicans who voted him into that job.
