1st CD, Republican: Incumbent Paul Ryan, of Janesville, and Paul Nehlen, of Williams Bay.
I absolutely have nothing on this election, so I thought I'd start a thread, and we can add to it as information comes in. Some polls have Ryan way ahead, and a few find it less certain. On the other hand, wasn't this the climate before the Cantor election? He was sitting fat dumb and happy with a big lead in the polls?
If I were a betting man, I'd have to put my money on Ryan and by all counts, he's a very popular guy up there, but then again, so is Obama.

Yes Franklin WI is CD 1 - Ryan’s district. I own property there but no longer reside there.
Trump, though, clearly loves America the most (compared to, say Cruz, who loved himself more), so even though Trump wasn't the most conservative, he stands above the rest in my mind because he shows he loves the country.

I am not a rabid Trump supporters I am a Rabid hater of all things Clinton. Big difference. Having said that I believe Trump really does love America.

If Ryan wins the primary I hope he loses the general. It would be worth the loss of one seat to get rid of him as speaker.

Then, he became Majority Leader and changed. Not all that unusual to see a good man captured by politics. Conservatives turned on him, rightfully so.
I hope that he gets the boot. Not confident about it, though. Trump endorsing him tells me that he's likely in....if Donald had sat it out, I'd have guessed that Ryan was toast.
I know nothing about who Ryan’s running against, but since Ryan is a presumably corrupt career politician and turncoat, unless the other guy is an even worse corrupt career politician, I’d like to see Ryan lose.
I also was hoping the Wisconsin voters would vote Nehlan and send Lyin Ryan home for good. They certainly should be aware by now of the fact that Ryan is a Globalist who wants the TPP and open borders. So here's hoping they found out the truth about Paul Ryan!
Doing a Wisconsin ping here in hopes to hear from Freepers in CD 1. Perhaps they will share how its going at the precincts as to voter turnout.
Not long ago, Ryan was a tea party darling, and also a Freeper favorite -
He was never a tea party darling. And I cant speak for all, but not this freeper’s favorite. He has always been a squishy rino. Just now, he goes to no trouble to hide it.
Many Democrats are against the TPP.
