I’m going to town for a slab of fish (haddock or cod, scallops if they are not outrageous) and some summer squash and peppers. Into the oven for lunch.

I love biscuits. My gram’s baking powder biscuits were excellent with chicken pot pie and strawberry shortcake. While we at the biscuits with strawberries, many of our friends had store bought “hockey puck looking” sponge cake.
Please, please, please send it our way.

Question? Where is the thread to the Ryan primary? Am I missing something ? Today is the primary right? If so I want to know if people are hitting the voting booths in droves.....can’t seem to find anything.
Trump hopefully will get some military support as Ft. Bragg is located in the area on some 251 sq miles of land.
I find it really good. Easy to clean.
There are hand made ones that are fun to use but cost almost the same.
The bowl of the KA is heavy glass. I recall paying around $160 new for mind about 8 to 10 years ago.
We always had homemade biscuits too. Mom added a little cream of tartar which made them so light and fluffy. We always use lard or butter
I cut the recipe back a bit so I don’t eat the entire batch. So good with fresh Amish butter and fresh fruit or fruit butter.
I do miss homemade breads on this diet. If the recipe makes a dozen I’ll eat everyone. Better to buy one muffin or biscuit at a restaurant. Oh hmmm!
Last night I took some fresh 4 inch Alaska Sockeye Salmon filets from Kroger’s and cut them half again so they were about two inch wide and about 6 “ long.
Soaked them in some coconut milk, a little pineapple juice and honey for about an hour before hand. Added salt, pepper and a little tumeric and baked in a pyrex @ 400 convection for around 10 minutes, and let it sit under tin foil for about 5 minutes or so. Collected some of the liquid in a little dipping dish the rest poured over the filets.
The skins flaked off. Added a little hydrated lemon and it was heavenly. Went pretty well with Chateau St. Michelle Reisling I had.
