Trump is travelling all around the USA and he is seeing the needs.
Many cannot see the hurt going on today because it doesn’t affect them. So many have seen their situation change during the last 8 years. Lost jobs, businesses closing, companies outsourcing, wages cut, benefits cut. Many are barely getting by working 1 or 2 jobs. Others are forced to move back home with mom or dad. Many times, mom and dad are suffering too and incapable of helping out.
I think most of the complaining is the - it doesn’t apply to me attitude. I don’t need childcare so “it’s a stupid idea”. I’m working “cut social security”.
Childcare doesn’t affect me. I don’t see it to be a big deal or a deal breaker. It gets people working which cuts down on welfare programs such as cash payments, food stamps etc.
If more people are working it stimulates the economy for all. When factories close up it’s not just the workers who suffer. There are also the support jobs that people forget about....the waitress, gas station clerk, cashier, bartender. Also more workers generates more tax revenue for the federal government. Sounds like a win-win to me.
NIKK you have done a lot of great posting. An asset to FR and the Trump Train. Don’t let the Negative Nancys get to you!
Trump can really gain support by hammering his message of putting America first at every opportunity, and in all relevant context. This is one of them. Rather than spending hundreds of billions on terrorist countries who mean us nothing but harm, if you’re going to spend any money, spend it on those things that will help our own people first. Maybe that sounds selfish to some, but IMO our President should have our own country’s well-being as first priority. That doesn’t mean shower people with government largess, but do the things necessary for them to help themselves. I think it was Reagan who said the best welfare program is a job. Trump should hammer that message. Look how many jobs he has helped create. Compare that to how many Hillary has helped create. Other than government investigators, Hillary has none to her credit.
Truth.
With 94 mm out of the workforce @ a population of 330 mm (with +/-30 mm illegal aliens), there is no way unemployment is at 5%. Halving the 94 mm figure only, and measuring that against only 330 mm, we’re at 14%. That’s conservative.
