Yea there was a lot of negativity today. All over childcare. This is how I see it. If there are no subsidies, we would probably spend more in welfare benefits, food stamps etc. If there are subsidies we probably spend less on those programs. But, at the same time, you now have 1 person employed. And additional day care workers will be needed. More workers, more purchasing, more taxes. Sounds like everybody wins.

Furthermore, all this anger towards Ivanka. Seriously?? I am sure Trump has imput from many people including his children. I sure he weighs the pros/cons. But, at the end of the day it is Trump’s decision. Trump is the one to be upset with.....

And if they cant say anything nice....

I have seen no anger towards Ivanka here. Not at all.

Personally, I find her to be a very beautiful, poised, articulate woman. I always click on Daily Mail articles featuring her because it is a joy to see her and her beautiful and happy family. I always green arrow the good comments and red arrow the nasty ones!

What I and perhaps others were speaking to tonight was her seemingly liberal bent, and that influence on DJT. He obviously loves and respects her as her father, and there is no contention with that.

I consider this a mole, not a mountain.

I have no problems with Americans who are actually trying to get on their feet, getting some help. I have no young children so no tax breaks. I would rather have these folks get a helping hand than the illegals, the terrorists, the welfare queens etc.

I share your best wishes for young folk trying to get on their feet. It is tough living in this socialistic society today.

Speaking strictly Constitutionally, no one should be receiving government funding in any form...welfare, food stamps, child credits....These are all part of a system of socialism. It is stealing the fruits of someone else’s labor and giving it to someone who did not earn it. Stealing is immoral.

The proper avenue for helping others is through charities. Sadly, Obama has targeted them mercilessly, by making it more difficult to claim charitable deductions in their rigged income tax system. The progressive income tax, coupled with inflating the dollar, has changed our whole way of life, forcing 2nd and 3rd household incomes just to keep up.

I have been staying off for a while because there was some bad feelings here about Ivanka and her so called influence on Trump and childcare. So I have instead went back and looked at Hillary pictures and just kept my nose clean and stay out of fire.

When has the Republican Party gone cold heart on helping people who are trying so hard to survive. There are hard working young people who can't find good paying jobs now. Obama has really done a number on jobs and healthcare. Someone said we as Republican's don't believe in government help as Trump has addressed and I should leave. Normally it would have bounced off but a niece is needing help with childcare. These college degree young people aren't lazy people but Americans' needing help.

Trump is travelling all around the USA and he is seeing the needs.

This is telling me these families are possibly getting threats or pressure somewhere to stay quiet. I think they were willing to let things be but it really looks like something is going on we don't know about.
