He stood up and fought the establishment republicans.
He won the primaries because he stood apart from the lifers.
He is now supporting the people he fought against.
Depressing.
It had to be done. You think Trump loved those endorsements? We have to win. Losing is not an option. We absolutely have to win. We also cannot afford to lose Ayotte’s senate seat.
I am shocked at the number of Freepers who are perfectly willing to lose the war in order to win a battle. In fact this isn’t even a battle it’s a minor skirmish.
Trump should have stayed out of a down ballot race. Ryan didn’t ask for his endorsement, didn’t want it. Ignore Ryan and beat Clinton.
This could be a very close race where Wisconsin’s electoral votes matter. He did what he had to do, and he proved he can be pragmatic when he needs to be. Get on message - beat Clinton. He can, and will fight Ryan another day. He has to beat Clinton before getting into policy fights with Republicans on the hill. There will be plenty of time for that, but only if he beats Clinton.
He is trying to beat Hillary. I don’t think that he is betraying who he is - he is too accomplished and wealthy to have to do that. It isn’t in his personality.
Still, I hope Nehlen wins.
He’s not an army of one and the media were chewing him apart, as well as the pary, regarding him not endorsing them.
It was good business. Not personal. One bad senator winning vs. one bad sociopath being the next POTUS?!
I’ll take the former.
He also needs money for commercials even though new mediums and his frequent coverage have offset it until now.
The last 3 weeks, having 100m to blow across swing states will pay off.
Trump will now get the support of the GOP Establishment suporters-trolls in this forum.

Actually, he is now focusing on governing. He cannot govern inside the vacuum you suppose.
There is theory and there is reality. Pragmatic reality is required for governance.
